NAR appreciation and crazy parking lady thread 2

Nannyplum2015 · 19/02/2015 20:36

Just thought I'd start another thread as the other one looks like it will fill up soon! NDN has knocked again at NAR's house with no reply. I think she may be getting the message!

Can someone link the old thread as not sure how to do it.

Thanks

I also don't think she'll back down. There are some people who just won't ever admit they might be in the wrong

TheSortingCat · 20/02/2015 18:18

OP COME AND TELL US WHAT IS HAPPENING!

notnaice · 20/02/2015 18:19

Nanneeeeee where are youooooo?

HicDraconis · 20/02/2015 18:21

One of the benefits of living 12h ahead is that you sleep through all the during the day waiting and get to read the updates when you wake up! When there are updates!

I checked this thread before coffee :)

Absolutely agree that this is not a witch hunt. It's a lesson in choices and consequences, with NDN having to face the consequences of her choice to park where she is not entitled to and then be unnecessarily rude to those who are entitled to park there when she was asked to move.

(Am quite impressed with that sentence in my precoffee state!)

Damnit no xpost!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 20/02/2015 18:23

Damnit! No irony?!

takeitonthegin · 20/02/2015 18:25

Yep, witch hunt my foot. NDN has learnt a valuable lesson. If you play with feathers, you may get your arse tickled.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 20/02/2015 18:26

Damnit, no witch hunt?!!!

icelollycraving · 20/02/2015 18:31

takeitonthegin you have a most amusing turn of phrase :o

VivaLeBeaver · 20/02/2015 18:32

While waiting for an update I'll tell you all my old story from years ago.

Came home to find a car half over my drive....couldn't turn in. I pulled up infront of car (blocking neighbours drive) AMD asked the couple in the car to move so I could get in my drive. Elderly couple who just point blank refused.

The back of their car was against another car. I couldn't leave mine blocking the neighbours. Nowhere else to park as busy high St. I pulled in at an angle, right against the front of their car. Locked up and went inside.

Had a cup of tea while watching out the window....they just sat there. After half an hour I went outside. Old woman was crying. I asked her if she would move now.

They said yes. I backed up, they left, I went into my drive. Never seen them since.

var123 · 20/02/2015 18:33

It would be a witch hunt if she was aware of 100 people hoping for her repentance. But she isn't and we are not going to do anything that will change how it plays out.
Its just a bit of good theatre that we can all relate too.

I think I might not like to know what is being said if I were NARs wife though. Maybe that's just me.

Jacana · 20/02/2015 18:33

"If you play with feathers..." New saying to me , like it Grin

Do you reckon they're all at the pub celebrating the successful end to the stand off?

takeitonthegin · 20/02/2015 18:37

icelolly and Jacana I stole it from a comedian, Peter Kay I think. I use it a lot.

HicDraconis · 20/02/2015 18:37

Damnit, no coffee yet?!

KissMyFatArse · 20/02/2015 18:38

Viva sometimes people need a harsh reality check! So quite right for giving them one! Why do some folk think they are so entitled???!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 20/02/2015 18:40

Maybe I should tell my tale now. It's not actually my tale, it's the tale of a brilliant neighbour of mine. There was house of unsavoury types on the other side of him. We all had allocated parking and he had mentioned that they kept using his space. He had told them that if they did it again there would be consequences.

Consequences there were.

One afternoon I sauntered through the car park to find my neighbour cheerily waving from his newly built wall. He was a builder by trade and had spent the morning building a wall all the way around his parking space.

The space that contained a car...

:o

KissMyFatArse · 20/02/2015 18:42

Fuckyou that is a brilliant tale!

BossWitch · 20/02/2015 18:44

Oh. My. God. FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse's ex ndn wins the thread. Hell, he wins life!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 20/02/2015 18:45

It was a brilliant moment. We all spent the rest of the afternoon sat on neighbour's new wall (other neighbours joined us), until finally someone came for the car.

They actually tried to make out that the walling in of the car was unreasonable! They may have even said, "let's be reasonable, man"

We had a lovely afternoon. I brought neighbour beers so he didn't have to move from his new wall.

BMW6 · 20/02/2015 18:46

Stop with the hand-wringing bleeding heart "witch hunt" shite.

NDN is an atrocious cunt and nothing has been done to her that she has not thoroughly deserved.

Do you seriously think that this is the first time in her life that she has behaved in such a poisonous way? Perhaps for the first time she is learning a valuable lesson - but I doubt it. Leopards don't change their spots.

ImADonkeyOnTheEdge · 20/02/2015 18:47

OMG.

Page 17 already?

Is there an actual update about NDN and NAR and FONAR??

Cannot remember what POONAR is even though I followed previous thread.

Fairyfellowsmasterstroke · 20/02/2015 18:48

POONAR is/was actually POOSNAR

  • Person on other side of neighbour across road!!!!!
firethornuk · 20/02/2015 18:54

Not forgetting WONAR - Wife Of Neighbour Acroos the Road

Momagain1 · 20/02/2015 18:57

POONAR is the Person On Otherside of NAR, a potential 3rd nice neighbor who was wondered about, but not needed.

I kind of agree with the suggestions that none of this will teach NDN to be nicer. BUT, bullies like her only push where they can. When they come up against a certain level of pushback, they redirect to they look for another victim. Though uncooperative & disagreeable to Nanny's face, she did choose to try it on with a different neighbour instead. Her error was choosing to annoy the superman that turned out to be her nemesis, our man NAR!
