If you were giving a birthday present to a friend in February and the present had very obvious Christmas tags would you feel a bit embarrassed about giving it?

As it was probably bought in the sale or an unwanted gift?

But so what if it was bought last year and not this? I can't believe so many people are so ungrateful about gifts. I'd be appalled if my young children said this stuff, I'm astonished at it coming from adults.

so what about us with December birthdays? I always get Christmas stuff for birthday! never thought about complaining tbh.

So the lovely Ted Baker sets I bought in the Boots sale for Christmas presents for this year are deemed unacceptable because the packaging's the wrong year? Sad. There was no way I could have afforded to pay full price, and I thought the sets were lovely - and I hope the family members who receive them will be as thrilled as I was to be able to buy the presents for them.

Flump, but you put some thought into those presents, didn't you? The OP is complaining that her gift was 100% not her, indicating that absolutely no thought had gone into it.
