If you are not working enough hours or cant get enough hours you will apparently be sanctioned. Unbelievable Confused I cant see some employers being happy with this either although they should be paying a living wage in the first place. Because ppl who have been sanctioned are hardly going to be able to get to work are they?

Ridiculous and vindictive.

This is scary, I work nearly 30 hours and don't earn 'enough' (according to the figures here) yet I'm in a good, permanent secure job which fits around my children - I'll be expected to give this up or face sanctions? This surely will hit a ridiculous amount of women (and the knock on effect on their children) very hard. I know who I won't be voting for.

If you think the Labour party are the answer then they introduced a lot of this, will not change it and have always left unemployment higher at the end of thier term higher than at the start.

Well at they didnt fuck over the working poor so much as this shower of bastards carol although i think the labour of today wont be doing be us many favours either so i agree with you there.

I reckon universal credit is here to stay no matter who wins the election.

Yy to the absent parent. My ex pays next to nothing for his kids and hes been able to start another family, and get two degrees. Oh yeah hes alright jack, he hasnt had to put his career on hold to look after his offspring even though he fucked off with someone else and left me with his debt, having to sell our house and making us homeless and then into council housing.

Why dont the govt go after these men...oh yeah of course the tories hate women, know your place ladies eh

I actually lolled at that carol. Im not clairvoyant. He was a wonderful man and father until 8 months before he went, we were together 10 years with good jobs and own home.

I bet you blame a woman if her husband dies as well, how dare you not predict his death, its your own fault!

Carol. How closed minded. The children dont have a choice do they, but they often suffer because of cruel and bullying policies !!!. You Another one who can only target women and children.
People make choices because they think they're the right ones. When Blackheart had her babies. I highly doubt she thought her and her dh would part or to be specific he would leave her. IT WAS HIS CHOICE TO LEAVE HER!!!!!. OH BUT WHERE'S YOUR CRITIC FOR HIM. SURPRISINGLY. NOWHERE!!!.

My sister says things like that about choosing to have children with feckless men, but she's a really thick thoughtless cunt who up until her husband of 20 years did a bunk with his admin assistant ditching his children in the process, had no idea that you never really know someone until they leave you.

And the issue with being asked to leave work to attend work focused interviews has been very well publicised and last time I looked into it the only reassurances offered were that they would try to avoid clashing with paid work.

Throw in the landlords gas safety check at the same time and it makes things even more impossible.

How can you predict the future. You can't. We were so close, we had good jobs, a mortgage, engaged, making plans for our wedding. Then wham he went off with someone else. It was HIS choice.

do you honestly think I could have predicted the future carol? You know when we got together at 17 years, went through uni together, got engaged, bought our first house, got great jobs, had our first baby who was autistic although not dx till 2 years ago. My funny, loving, sensitive rock of a man met someone else and left us.

He has a new family now with someone else, the girl he left me for dumped him 3 weeks before their wedding. I bet you wouldnt berate him for his choices now would you

i don't understand why one sector of the population think that things like gas safety checks mean they shouldn't have to work, or just have reduced hours. The rest of us have to juggle, why shouldn't they? And if they really don't want to juggle they should take the hit to their pocket, not the rest of the taxpaying public
