Dog poo in my front garden! What the f#*&!

theforceawakens · 03/02/2015 16:22

Just that really.

Removed the second mound of dog poo from my front garden this week. I don't have a dog. I can barely think straight due to the red must that has enveloped my head.

What the fucking fuck! Angry

I would hate to pick up an enormous, warm stinking dog poo and put it in a bag. Rank. I can understand the reluctance, but dog owners do it because they love their dogs. People who just let their dog shit and leave it especially on hugely public paths or someone else's bloody house are selfish arseholes.

However I try to curb my anger as I know that people who get extremely angry about dog poo are a those who go slowly insane and start setting up their own CCTV, leaving notes to dog owners and writing to the newspapers and phoning 101 Grin

Sunny67 · 03/02/2015 17:29

I hate it too! And I've got two dogs, they are only small but poo is poo! I don't like dogs off their leads anywhere that people are around as its not fair on those that dislike dogs. When I walk mine I clean up after them. Why the hell some people think it's not a problem to open the door and let them out is beyond me. I dislike most cat owners too but that's another story

PUGaLUGS · 03/02/2015 17:32

I also hate it and yes I do have a dog and yes I clean up after her.

Charlotte3333 · 03/02/2015 17:36

We have a dog and whilst she's the most ridiculous dog on earth and obeys me never, she'd never allowed off-lead unless we're walking through wooded areas/fields. Around houses on our daily walk she's always by my side and I'm militant about picking up her poo.

There's a chap around the corner with an evil dog that likes to shit on my front garden. I caught the dog doing it not so long ago. So I bagged up the shit and posted it through his letterbox. He went a bit bezerk and put a sign up in his lounge window in big bold capitals shouting "Do NOT put dogshit through my letterbox. Do it again and I will find you.". It was all a bit dramatic and Taken-esque. But his dog's not shit on my lawn since.

ILovePud · 03/02/2015 17:43

charlotte3333 Grin that must have been satisfying. Did anyone read a story a while back about a spate of dog poo in gardens and when a pissed off resident set up a camera to see if they could identify the offending 'dog' it turned out to be a man? Shock

850Pro · 03/02/2015 17:44

I find cat poo on my drive way all the time, i hate it :-(

Charlotte3333 · 03/02/2015 17:46

Hahaha I would vomit laughing at cctv showing up a neighbour taking a shite on my drive, it would make me at least £250 from You've Been Framed. Seriously, people have gone mad!

ginger0705 · 03/02/2015 17:52

The thing that pisses me off is when some plonker decides to adorn the local trees with dog poo bags like it's xmas in hell! Op yanbu it's filthy, inconsiderate and a health hazard.
You don't live in a town beginning with E do you, was a similar post on a local page recently?

CruCru · 03/02/2015 17:53

It sounds a bit random but have you tried reporting dogshit on the pavements on FixMyStreet? If everyone does, the council will have to do something about it.

fluffygreentail · 03/02/2015 17:54

We had dog poo in our front lawn when we rented a new built with an open front lawn. No mistaking it for anything else. Poor DH had to remove a couple and luckily we were due to move shortly after it started.

Wondering how an owner could let the dog wander off long enough to do a crap?

ILovePud · 03/02/2015 17:58

Yes ginger0705 that infuriates me too, why would you pick it up bag it and then throw it in a tree? Is it because they think someone was watching when the dog pooed and so they wanted to look like a responsible dog owner but then flung it in a tree as soon as they thought they could get away with it? That can't happen often enough to account for all the hanging poo bags I see in some places but I can think of no other sane explanations.

theforceawakens · 03/02/2015 18:26

Ginger - we live in a town beginning with B! Smile

I have a night vision
camera
True, it's not cheap. We got one to see what animals are in our countryside garden at night. It works a treat day or night. So you could find out the culprit.

fluffygreentail · 03/02/2015 18:28

charlotte!!!! Hahahhhahahhhaaaa!

SorchaN · 03/02/2015 18:32

I had to deal with this, and eventually I caught the dog in the process of doing it! I shouted at the dog and chased it back to its owner's house, a few doors down. She came to her door when she heard me shouting and I told her what had happened. She said her dog couldn't have done it! I explained that I'd just watched her dog crapping in my garden and if it happened again there would be consequences. It hasn't happened since, so I guess she's stopped letting the dog out to roam the streets. Or the dog is too scared to come back to the shouty woman's garden!

ginger0705 · 03/02/2015 20:41

Op it must be the let your dog crap in someone else's garden festival throughout the country! It's a real problem where we live, there are tonnes of places nearby where if you get caught short without a poo bag they have them for free. There was a whole campaign with poo bags free in library, post office and various shops. No excuse but the buggers are still letting them dump everywhere!

MidniteScribbler · 03/02/2015 21:19

I hate irresponsible dog owners. They are the people that make life harder for responsible dog owners as restrictions get tighter about owning dogs. I have seven, and I'm obsessive about cleaning up after them and keeping them quiet.

The other day I was outside painting my front fence, and a woman comes along sand let's her dog cock his leg up on the bit I was just about to paint. WTAF?? There were three big trees just a few steps away on the nature strip. I have her a mouthful, but she didn't give a toss about it. The next day I'm back out there again and here she comes to let him pee on my fence again. I yelled at him to stop him from doing it and she got upset that I told her dog off. Idiot, then stop him yourself. My dogs manage to not pee on anything that is not a tree because I don't let them. Take some responsibility.

Charlotte3333 · 03/02/2015 21:28

My idiot dog prefers to piss indoors in this weather, it's too cold for her ridiculous feet outside so she'll go out, have a little bark at the pigeons, neighbours and wind then come in and take a squat on my kitchen floor. And look me dead in the eye as she does it. How she's survived 4 years is remarkable, she deserves to be freeze-dried.

Winterbells · 03/02/2015 22:34

Someone has also been letting their dogs poo in my garden too. :( It's like the street is too full of it so they've decided to open my gate and let their dog(s) do it on my grass.

Some mornings on the way to school we have to walk in the road because the path is so full of mounds of poo that it is impossible to push a pram and steer a 3 year old and a 4 year old around it all.

I don't hate dogs but irresponsible owners really fuck it up for the responsible ones. Poo bags are cheap, you can even get them for free around here and if you don't want to pick poo up with your hand you can buy little scoopers. There is just absolutely no excuse for leaving it behind.

LilMissSunshine9 · 04/02/2015 00:08

I get fox shit, cat shit and the occassional dog shit right by my front door in the flower bed - fecking gross sometimes stepping out to go to work to be hit by a wall of smelly shit.

Once I was cleaning my room and happened to look out the window to see an owner letting her dog roam across my front garden to take a dump and I waited to see if they would pick it up...nope they started to walk off so I quickly opened my window and shouted at the owner..they just ignored me Angry

NeedABumChange · 04/02/2015 00:30

ilovepud

The dog poo up trees thing is generally caused by 12yr old boys having dog poo fights on the way home from school. They pull the bags out of the special dog poo bins. It's minging. Then they escalate to lynx spray fights which is less minging but also produces a pretty unpleasant smell.

Moniker1 · 04/02/2015 06:54

If UKIP (or any other party) came up with a plan to license all dogs and remove owners' license (or similar punishment) for allowing dog to crap and not picking it up they would be running the country after May.

Likewise secret cameras or similar for litter dropping.

Or fly tipping, or any of the other minor life stressing issues that spoil people's day.

Why oh why is nothing done? The human rights of the bs who trash the country take precedence I presume.

Granddadjohn · 22/10/2017 12:03

I have one lousy, good-for-nothing scrote who thinks my front lawn is OK to regularly use as a toilet on their way to the local children's playing field/dog's toilet. I'm on his/her case, I just need a photo ...

Bluelonerose · 22/10/2017 12:14

I hate it too.
The ONLY time I didn't pick up was when my dog decided to do a massive shit in a clump of nettles. I couldn't get near it to get it without getting stung.

I don't think there's enough bins either .

Raizel · 22/10/2017 12:18

I think there are people on this thread with an anti-dog agenda but tbh I didn’t get that from the OP I think they they are just pissed if with waking up to shit in their garden.

I love dogs and I am a dog owner who picks up after their dog regularly. What gets my goat is walking through a park coming up to a fence with a bin near it and some nob head owners have decided to hang their shit bags off the fence or trees rather then put it in the bin next them! I mean WTF!!!!!

Also I do hate cat shit I wake up with it in my front and back garden everyday it’s vile and yes yes I know the right to roam Bull shit that cat owners come out with but it still is not pleasant. I don’t have or want a cat therefore I don’t want to pick up your cats poo.

Also there was a poster earlier on who said I wouldn’t just let my kids shit some where and not deal with it. I worked in retail for a long time and the amounts of parents who would let their kids pee, poo and vomit in the shop without telling us well you just wouldn’t believe it.
