AIBU to scoot to work?

I am currently walking 20 minutes each way to work to avoid a daily parking charge and get a bit fitter. DH has suggested I get a fold up bike to save time but I reckon by the time I've unfolded/folded and found somewhere to store at work I won't save any time. I've seen one women scooting and that seems sensible but I'm a bit self conscious Blush.

I saw a dad from school on one today. He didn't look like a twat as he nonchalantly glided round the corner.

I think the nonchalance is important to not looking like a twat.

Extra time with your family is more important than some total strangers' judgy opinions. Sod 'em and scoot away.

There are all sorts of styles and trends which look ridiculous to many (especially in clothing where one persons fashionable look creates a snigger in someone else!)

At least scooting brings a positive benefit.

I honestly can't see why it is any more ridiculous than any other mode of transport - and it certainly is a timesaver without some of the aggravation of a bike.

Personally, I snigger at those that are taking 20 minutes to walk somewhere, when it has only taken me half the time, I can be getting on with something much more fun!
