Yes it's a TAAT, but I know I'm not the only one who's curious about all these stories about DC who talk about their "other Mummies"

Am I???

Haven't a clue what you are talking about, but it sounds both like utter twattery and also not an aibu.

grocklebox · 24/01/2015 00:02

(the woo thing sounds like twattery, I'm not calling you a twat, to be clear)

HealthyChanges · 24/01/2015 00:02

What?

TwitterWooooo · 24/01/2015 00:03

What's "inner woo" and are you talking about ?

TwitterWooooo · 24/01/2015 00:03

Sorry, what are you talking you ?

WorraLiberty · 24/01/2015 00:05

No clue what thread you mean but it sounds like a pile of bollocks, indulged by the "Ooh I was the most cynical person in the world until (insert something completely woo) happened" brigade.

MadameOvary · 24/01/2015 00:06

Just me then Grin

Have seen so many threads re spooky stuff about small children talking about their "other mummies" - what's that about?

The parents aren't woo - more Confused so is it just lots of DC with overactive imaginations?

You'll love this thread :)

BreconBeBuggered · 24/01/2015 00:11

Mine had another mummy. He still remembers how she 'died', and he's at university now.

Of course it sounds like complete bollocks. But he said it, aged 1, not me. I can stealth boast about my child's advanced imagination if I feel like it.

WorraLiberty · 24/01/2015 00:14

Of course the parents are woo, otherwise they wouldn't take any notice of the millions of weird things kid's say.

My DS1 spent an entire year of his life aged 3 to 4yrs, answering most questions with "Bin bags" as an apparently acceptable reply.

He's 23yrs old now and we've still never got to the bottom of it.

Perhaps his 'Other Mummy' was a refuse collector???

grocklebox · 24/01/2015 00:14

Aged 1? REally? Given he's now at uni, I doubt your recollection is accurate.

Whats that about, OP? Well I reckon children having imaginations is probably more likely than reincarnation and remembering past lives, but maybe I'm just being too logical.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 24/01/2015 00:15

My DS had another family (who were much nicer than us) he would threaten to go there regularly. wish he'd fuck off there now he's 23

MadameOvary · 24/01/2015 00:15

Worra are you having a bad day?

MadameOvary · 24/01/2015 00:22

Quite interesting fight

I'm sure that science can explain, for example, the recollections of James Leininger but I'm a bit woo myself so I find it fascinating and spooky

grocklebox No, my recollection is fine (I have a calendar-ish memory, and can place it accurately between major life events) but I don't believe he had actually lived a past life, however many old ladies told me he'd been here before.

Salmotrutta · 24/01/2015 00:50

Don't subscribe to any woo-ish shite ideas.

Total sceptic.

HTH

Salmotrutta · 24/01/2015 00:55

"aged 1" is quite a broad twelve month window really, isn't it?.

So a 23 month child (who has just heard a story about death in a fairy tale) starts babbling nonsense about dead/dead people.

That's quite common; nearly two year old babbles weird stuff.

Hold the front page... Hmm

Salmotrutta · 24/01/2015 00:56

That should be dead/dying people

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 24/01/2015 01:00

My dad always used to talk about her other mum Peggy and her little sister _Bunty.
She doesn't remember anything now though.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 24/01/2015 01:01

D.D not dad.

Salmotrutta · 24/01/2015 01:04

Ilive - your Dad used to talk about her other mum? And she doesn't remember anything now?

Is this your Dad or a female relative who is channeling other mothers?

Salmotrutta · 24/01/2015 01:06

Ah.

X-post.

Thought that sounded odd.

Well, to be fair, it sounds odd anyway.

A creative imagination and bedtime fairy tales would be my guess...
