Have been batch cooking and tasting meals for the month before I go in for an operation so I don't have to worry about meals and had been chopping onions and garlic all day yesterday.
Noticed a funny garlic smell last night in bed but assumed it was my hands but tonight I went to do a wee and I'm pretty sure it's my vagina ShockBlush.
Have just had a shower and I can still smell it!!!
Coincidence?

Read the bit about YOUR DIET.

blogs.webmd.com/womens-health/2014/10/why-does-my-vagina-smell.html

IamTitanium · 22/01/2015 21:24

Raw or cooked?

Grin, sorry a bit unhelpful, no mine has not, but just googled it and onion smells does pop up.

PoppySausage · 22/01/2015 21:24

Mine does occasionally! Raw onion... What is it?!

Pumpkinette · 22/01/2015 21:25

Well if you eat a lot of garlic you can sweat it out through your pores. So by the same principle your vagina might be smelling like garlic if you have eaten a lot of it or absorbed a lot of it through your skin. It could just be that you have the smell struck on your skin and you think it's coming from your vagina when it's actually not.

Jodie1982 · 22/01/2015 21:25

Wtf Hmm

PoppySausage · 22/01/2015 21:26

It is horrendous after I eat raw red onion

PoppySausage · 22/01/2015 21:27

Jodie... Wtf?!

Ouchbloodyouch · 22/01/2015 21:29

It comes out through your mucous membranes. So i guess its possible. !

lomega · 22/01/2015 21:29

This might be tmi but about a day after I've eaten a strong flavour I notice it 'down there'

I remember one Christmas I ate looooads of xmas cake and xmas pudding and noticed my lady bits smelt of the spices/cinnamon. my bf at the time liked it lol.

joanne1947 · 22/01/2015 21:30

as long as your DH or DP like garlic and will enjoy the taste of it from your vagina why worry?

whyareallthegoodnicknamestaken · 22/01/2015 21:31

Raw onion Grin I was chopping spring onion, red onion, shallots, garlic. Maybe it's the smell seeping through my skin (and fancy Blush)

PoppySausage · 22/01/2015 21:32

Yes, because my only consideration when it comes to my vagina is what my dp thinks of it... Seriously?!

whyareallthegoodnicknamestaken · 22/01/2015 21:32

Lomega, I might try that next Christmas it sounds.... festive Grin

Read the link I posted at the top... it's normal if you've been eating those things. I'd be worried if not!

whyareallthegoodnicknamestaken · 22/01/2015 21:34

I doubt she would have any appreciation for my onion fanjo Hmm but even if he did I'd rather not smell like an Italian restraint down there

OP posts:
ahbollocks · 22/01/2015 21:35

I have finally heard it all Grin

whyareallthegoodnicknamestaken · 22/01/2015 21:36

Sorry cavalry I missed your link! Sounds like it's pretty normal then.. maybe I'll lay off the onion and garlic for a while.

SaucyJack · 22/01/2015 21:36

I have no idea what it smells like. Sadly I'm not flexible enough to find out.

whyareallthegoodnicknamestaken · 22/01/2015 21:37

Or sprinkle some herbs and pepperoni on it and tell your other half it's Pizza Time!

TheFillyjonk · 22/01/2015 21:37

Mine has smelled a bit cooked oniony since I got pregnant. It never smelled like that before, and I eat loads of onion and garlic!

whyareallthegoodnicknamestaken · 22/01/2015 21:37

lomega · 22/01/2015 21:39

Whyareall...yes it was Grin this thread is funny.

Saucy, have you never done the touch test? Again tmi. touch down there and do a quick sniff test. [embarrassed]

Chavaloy · 22/01/2015 21:40

I ate loads of cooked onion and garlic as part of a meal one night whilst breastfeeding (never did again!) - lead to a terrible night for 2 week old DS (and us).
