im just not getting what the big deal is? woman who do page 3 do it because they want to. at least i think they do. i do understand not everyone agrees with that sort of thing. but is it not upto the woman that do it. i don't see that anyone has the right to stop it if that's what woman want to do.

Let's be honest now, banning page 3 is nothing to do with feminism. Nothing at all. In fact, it's an insult to the very word.

ilovesooty · 22/01/2015 23:05

Why? And as I say, I'm far from being a militant feminist.

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 22/01/2015 23:06

what a big fat shiny patronising pompous arse you are, Simon. I suspect largely ignored in daily life, hence the need to come on here and tell us all how it is.

simontowers2 · 22/01/2015 23:12

Proper feminists have bigger fish to fry than knockers on page 3. The dumbing down of feminism i guess. It makes women look ridiculous campaigning about something so trivial, particularly given the sun's declining sales. Murdoch must be having a right laugh.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 22/01/2015 23:16

Thanks simon for explaining to silly women about feminism.

CaptainHolt · 22/01/2015 23:17

God, some people are thick.

OK, then Simon. Lets have it your way. Everything happens in isolation. Nothing affects anything, ever. Women being judged on their tits, viewed as objects, denied dignity and respect has absolutely nothing to do with the glass ceiling, the gender pay gap, FGM, sexual violence and all the 'real issues' that 'real feminists' are campaigning about. OK then. That makes total sense you utter, utter arse.

ghostspirit · 23/01/2015 07:53

so bloody what if i asked about ched evans wow... pick pick or what. so what if i might seem to ask what people think are stupid questions... we cant all be perfect and see things from the same angle and ask the right questions...

Your argument doesnt hold water captain. The sun began showing tits in the early 70s (im guessinb). The glass ceiling, if not disappearing, has certainly started to lessen since then. Many more women in positions of power now than there were then. Page 3 is trifling. 'Feminists' have been putty in murdoch's hands this week, wonder how much extra sales they have generated for him with their ridiculous posturing.

peachgirl · 24/01/2015 13:43

ditto DrinkFeck

how fortunate we are that a man is available to mansplain it all for us

ghostyslovesheep · 24/01/2015 13:47

You are right Captain x

Simon has form for this obtuse goady style of posting and a seeming in ability to listen to and understand women's concerns or opinions - surprisingly

YonicScrewdriver · 24/01/2015 13:55

I'm thrilled by the additional publicity Murdoch has generated for the NMP3 campaign this week, along with his Numpty PR guy tweeting tits to senior politicians.

limitedperiodonly · 24/01/2015 14:13

Didn't the OP indicate that the Ched Evans story had passed her by as well? I seem to recall her asking who he was.

Oh, with that kind of grasp of popular culture the OP is probably a High Court judge, then.

At least that solves the female CEO worry expressed by another poster.
