Did you know there's a user name "cutted up pear"? And that she had a very well known post about it...probably in classics now.

MrsTawdry · 20/01/2015 13:19

Oh of course you did! that's why you're sharing! Blush

Trufflethewuffle · 20/01/2015 14:02

My DD used to love cheese sandwiches. But she loved an occasional bit of variety so sometimes instead of grated cheese she would ask for cutted cheese!

MiddleAgedandConfused · 20/01/2015 14:58

My son used to ask us to put the 'dark on' at bed time, not the light off. Love the funny things kids do with word!

NotYouNaanBread · 20/01/2015 14:59

My 6 year old DD still says upfused instead of confused. Obv. we're hardly going to correct such an adorable upfusion.

AntiDistinctlyMinty · 20/01/2015 15:02

YANBU. I love it when things like that happen.

Ahh, cutted up pear

MiddleAgedandConfused · 20/01/2015 15:04

Another one - son said he was suffering from compensation! We still use that term whenever one the kids is a bit bunged up!

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 20/01/2015 15:08

One of my sisters said she was "ravishing" when she was hungry (ravenous) We still use it to this day Grin

Your DD is a secret Mumsnetter!

Scaredycat3000 · 20/01/2015 15:19

I may do continue to use wee-poo instead of diarrhea, courtesy of DC1.

ChatEnOeuf · 20/01/2015 15:45

Grin I fear this, Bramshott

She has a lovely way with words, we all sit down for a bus of tea in our house :)

We have 'singing cake' at birthdays, courtesy of DN!

PrimalLass · 20/01/2015 15:51

My DS used to say things had 'onappeared' as opposed to disappeared.

DD is nearly 7 and says 'cutted' Blush

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 20/01/2015 15:52

Little girl I used to nanny for announced to grandparents on the phone that she had coco pops, she meant chicken pox Grin

SoonToBeMrsB · 20/01/2015 15:53

My mum once told my brother that he'd hurt her feelings so he climbed onto her lap and started stroking her earlobes. When asked what he was doing he said, "fixing your feelings".

He also called horses "snuffies", after Snuffy from Sesame Street. We still call them that and he's 18 now Grin

madhairday · 20/01/2015 15:54

Houmous is called Thomas in our house, and cucumber is binbinber.

And the dc are 11 and 14 Grin

Anabundanceof · 20/01/2015 20:24

At the end of a meal we have sminished nuff

Bonsoir · 20/01/2015 20:27

DD who is 10 told me in confidence that her friend at school has weekly appointments with the Psychopath Shock

pickledsiblings · 20/01/2015 20:34

DS2 (7) told me it 'snew' (snowed) in the night and he woke up and saw it :)

Only when I was thinking how to spell it did I realise that it's similar to grow/grew.

DS asked for his pear to be 'cut up' this week, and I started laughing at the thought that he could have said 'cutted up'. DH and I say it to each other, just because of that thread.

I might visit Classics and read it again.

MissBattleaxe · 20/01/2015 20:47

DS calls Lasagne Sonia. "Can we have Sonia for dinner?"
