A thestral is a creature from harry potter I wondered what else my son thought might be real ?
He is, after all the first generation who was exposed to harry potter.

what other side effects have others seen in their children who are under the influence of harry potter?

Ds has been listening to Potter 'storytapes' for 2 years now. Over and over and over. He's 10.
Dd is just getting into them too.

DS actually looked like Harry Potter in his late teens and early 20s. Which if anything was worse since he couldn't walk down the street, catch a bus or a train or indeed do much at all in public without someone shouting "Oi! Harry Potter!" at him. He once went for a Saturday job where the manager said "You don't have school at Hogwarts on Saturdays then?"

I read them at the same rate Harry grew up, I was 11 when he was etc.
