I wouldn't have him stay again - what a pig. Echo the Simple Solution pet odour and stain remover suggestion: brilliant stuff.

notagainffffffffs · 14/01/2015 10:15

I think even if he is a nice lad he does deserve a bit of a bollocking and maybe banned from visiting for a little while. He has to understand its your HOME not a hostel

ilovesooty · 14/01/2015 10:20

Well get him to buy the cleaning stuff and clean the thing then. And bollock him from here to Kingdom come.

ghostspirit · 14/01/2015 10:25

yeah i could defo make him buy the stuff. but could i be wrong about it being him. im just thinking it would have gone al the way through for the amount he would have weed. but its defo human wee and no one else was in the living room.

Sounds a lot like he has turned up at your house in the middle of the night very very drunk.

That is completely unacceptable.

Your daughter can choose to tolerate her drunk boyfriend, but to inflict him on the rest of the family in this way is not on.

The pair of them would be helping me clean the sofa - and paying for all cleaning costs.

diddl · 14/01/2015 10:30

OK then, find out who did sleep on the sofa before "accusing" him!

AuntieMaggie · 14/01/2015 10:34

ask your daughter if she knows - if he did I assume she would've noticed the smell when she saw him this morning unless he snuck off before she got up?

ilovesooty · 14/01/2015 10:43

Find out if it was definitely him first then make him buy the stuff and clean it up. And make it abundantly clear that he is to respect your house and property if he wants to continue to be welcome.

ilovesooty · 14/01/2015 10:57

Are you absolutely sure it isn't the dog? If not and the children were all in bed it presumably has to be him.

CrystalHaze · 14/01/2015 11:41

Aside from this issue, I'd not be especially happy about him getting a pizza delivered there at 1:30am, which obviously woke you up and could have woken other family members too.

I'm sure he's probably just thoughtless in the way that teenagers tend to be, but he needs a talking-to about boundaries and considerate behaviour.

5Foot5 · 14/01/2015 13:05

hes normally really nice

Well he's not that great is he? Quite apart from whether or not he has peed on your sofa he seems to think it is OK to turn up at someone else's house in the middle of the night, take it upon himself to order pizza and then leave the empty box lying around in the living room.

NeedABumChange · 14/01/2015 13:10

Why aren't you angrier? Is someone did this in my home they'd never be welcome back and a payment plan would be set up. He could pay you back £20 a week for the next year.

It's one thing to piss yourself when drunk it's quite another to ignore it and leave a stinking pissy sofa in someone else's house.

Summerisle1 · 14/01/2015 13:50

Truthfully, he doesn't sound particularly nice and certainly, I can't see why you should be tolerating him turning up after everyone else has gone to bed, ordering and eating pizza and then pissing on the sofa.

It's your house, you shouldn't be tolerating him using it as handy hotel.

diddl · 14/01/2015 13:51

Well he can afford to get so pissed that he actually pisses himself & he can afford takeaway pizza, so he's getting money somehow!!

ghostspirit · 14/01/2015 15:13

i dont think he was drunk... i never said that... im angry but i sort of feel bad as well. if he did hes probably very embarrassed. i think to spend money on a pizza is a bit different to 1000 on a sofa...

i dont mind him ordering pizza. its just the sofa im not happy about.

OP posts:
ilovesooty · 14/01/2015 15:17

So are you going to get the payment off him and tell him to respect your house?

ghostspirit · 14/01/2015 15:24

yeah i will ask him to pay for the cleaning... im also not sure how to approach him. he might feel really crap

OP posts:
ilovesooty · 14/01/2015 15:27

If he had any decency and knew he was responsible he'd be apologising and asking how to pay you back. Is he working?

Viviennemary · 14/01/2015 15:29

I think that you can not be certain he is the culprit. Can you not claim a new sofa from your insurance.

chipsandpeas · 14/01/2015 15:30

nevermind paying for the cleaning id be making him do it

Teeb · 14/01/2015 15:35

Ask your daughter did her boyfriend sleep on the sofa last night? Because if he did, he's pissed himself and soiled your sofa. Then suggest she get in touch with him to pay for the clean up.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about, you have not urinated on other peoples expensive upholstery.

gymboywalton · 14/01/2015 15:40

what world is this???

in my world 18 year old girl's boyfriends don't arrive at the girl's parents home after midnight, order pizzas and then piss/sleep on the sofa!!

it sounds like you are running a doss house rather than a home!!!!!

why are you so calm??? so considerate of his feelings??

i DON@T UNDERSTAND!!!!!

SlightlyJadedJack · 14/01/2015 15:54

My cat peed on our leather sofa. No matter what I tried to clean it with the smell never went. You'd get a puff of wee smell every time you sat down. Sad

ghostspirit · 14/01/2015 15:55

he worked late... he only earns a bit though its zero contract. i just messaged my daughter she said he did not sleep on the sofa. maybe im wrong :/ a simlar thing happend before where my daughters bed was wet she said a glass of water had been spilt. which i did not believe.

we all go to bed. i get up in morning and theres a duvet that smells like wee and so does a seat on the sofa... im going to look in the wash piles see if i can find an wee smelling clothes
