So this year they won't come in a pack of 6 but instead 5! Wtf! And they say this is due to consumer demand...

I emailed using the link above and there was a security code to type with the American flag as the background. That says it all :(
RIP Cadbury.

Kaekae · 13/01/2015 11:33

I grabbed a tub of Roses Chocs at Christmas. This was the first time in years I'd bought them and noticed how disgusting they tasted. No one would eat them and we ended up binning most of them. Cadbury's just tastes really odd now and has a strange texture. In relation to the eggs, I am more cross at the fact shops want to bombard us with Easter in Jan! I went in to Tesco on the 31st of December and they already had their Easter eggs on display! Hmm Angry Shock

Girls I think it's time we boycotted them and kraft

Kaekae I was so disappointed in that box of Heroes. I even have a few left in the cupboard, unheard of for me.

ConferencePear · 13/01/2015 12:49

I've been doing a 'one-woman' boycott every since they broke their promise not to do mass redundancies.

LarrytheCucumber · 13/01/2015 12:53

I emailed via the link above to say how disappointed I am in their Crème Eggs.
Got a computer generated reply from Mondelez/Cadbury UK saying they are inundated at the moment. Bet they are Grin

alexpolistigers · 13/01/2015 13:29

problem solved: make your own!

Sallyingforth · 13/01/2015 13:40

But Alex that link uses Cadburys chocolate, and goes back to when you could still get Cadburys chocolate.
Now it's just US recipe crap with a Cadburys label.

Try the excellent selection of proper chocolate at Aldi. Lidl isn't bad either.

alexpolistigers · 13/01/2015 14:32

Hmm, good point, Sallyingforth.

I've never tried Aldi chocolate (there is no Aldi where I live), but I agree about Lidl, it's nice. Especially the chocolate and almond bars, my personal favourite!

mypoorbottee · 13/01/2015 19:39

Wanna hear the best part - the European markets are only getting the crap choclolate versions. The US remains unchanged.

CSIJanner · 13/01/2015 20:36

Well if that's true, that just takes the fucking piss Angry

stomps off to put mullah in the swear jar

Methe · 13/01/2015 21:04

I've complained via the website too

:)

TapDancingPimp · 13/01/2015 21:13

Sorry to go off on a tangent but does anyone think Thorntons is shite now too? Or maybe it's just those huge, oversized, mass produced boxes they do at Christmas time. We have a box sitting virtually untouched Confused can't bloody give them away!

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 13/01/2015 21:17

If it isn't broken then don't fix it, hate it when a popular product gets messed around with. Even worse renamed.

BroodySince22 · 13/01/2015 21:46

Kraft's fault. Cadbury's was great before American company Kraft took over ENGLISH Cadbury's! I am disgusted too

HelenaDove · 13/01/2015 22:09

I still remember how lovely Cadburys chocolate tasted in the 80s Loved when Dairy Milk used to come wrapped in shiny purple foil with dark purple paper wrapped around it.

vinegarandbrownpaper · 13/01/2015 22:13

There were riots in Dublin over this. Pics available at the Daily Mash Smile

BerniceBroadside · 13/01/2015 22:22

Have you seen their Facebook and Twitter? I've yet to see a positive comment on there

Is it all some kind of bizarre marketing ploy? Surely there can't be any other explanation for this?

Silkchiffon · 13/01/2015 22:42

Ds bought me two creme eggs at the weekend so I can say from experience they are definitely NOT the same but the weird thing is it was the 'creme' bit that tasted different to me, not the 'shell'.

I know it's weird stuff anyway but I really liked it in small doses - now it tastes really chemical-y and leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

mrscumberbatch · 13/01/2015 22:47

I'd rather get dd a mini Lindt bunny as a treat when we are out.

If Lindt did a bunny that was filled like their little ball chocolates I'd be in heaven.

RustyParker · 13/01/2015 23:37

I've signed the Change petition upthread and going to stalk Kraft / Mondelez-thingy-whatever tomorrow!

FestiveElf · 14/01/2015 00:57

Genius mrscumberbatch! Dreams of such a day....

HelenaDove · 14/01/2015 01:19

Does anyone remember Hella chocolate bars. They had a strawberry filling and were around in the mid to late 80s but not for very long unfortunately. In the TV advert there was a bloke dressed as the devil.

They were lovely and i saw on another forum that you could also get a mint one. But i only ever had the strawberry. My dad used to buy them and we used to share them. They were fairly big bars.

HelenaDove · 14/01/2015 01:23

Anyone on here under the age of 35 who likes starwberry cremes would have LOVED the Hella bar.
