YY Linnet those toffee and mallow eggs were a little slice of heaven but i cant remember for the life of me who made them.

Also used to LOVE Terrys Nutcracker which was the same size but came in the shape of a hazlenut in two halves with a nut and caramel inside.

HelenaDove · 13/01/2015 00:49

The small lindt eggs make me feel sick too. Cant work out whether its because ive been on a diet for ages or they are just sickly. Havent had any this year yet.

HelenaDove · 13/01/2015 00:53

Just seen Mondalez own Terrys too Hope they dont fuck about with the chocolate orange.

HelenaDove · 13/01/2015 00:56

Apparently the toffee and mallow eggs were Mackintosh.

BankWadger Yup :D Im now wondering which child to get rid of :)

Seriously though, 5 is such an inconvenient number!

Thumbwitch · 13/01/2015 04:56

BASTARDS.
But really, what did we expect? Did we expect a low-rent chocolate producer such as Kraft to adhere to the standards of Cadbury's? No, we didn't, not really. Well I didn't. But then I'm cynical.

differentnameforthis · 13/01/2015 05:28

Thumb, indeed...I believe MNers predicted this would happen when Cadbury were being sold.

TrendStopper · 13/01/2015 07:14

I have signed the petition, Cadbury chocolate has become awful to eat. The taste is so plastic and yuck.

CheerfulYank · 13/01/2015 07:21

Sigh. As a born n bred American I usually hold my head high over piddly small things like guns and health care. But this, this!

I'm so embarrassed.

Sorry, guys.

Thumbwitch · 13/01/2015 07:23

oh bless you CY, you know it's not your fault and we wouldn't blame you for it in any way!

Unless you own Kraft, that is...

Nah, I know you don't. You're safe. Grin

CheerfulYank · 13/01/2015 07:28

Thanks Thumb. :o

When did Cadbury get sold anyway?

We've always had creme eggs over here at Easter, my whole life. Were they always the same as yours?

ChocolateBubbleBarsmakemefat · 13/01/2015 07:49

Dammit. That's Easter cancelled then...Can't have the kids eating plastic chocolate. Signed the petition bloody bastards

fairyfuckwings · 13/01/2015 07:57

They own terrys too? Well that's my chocolate needs fucked then!

I never liked creme eggs anyway but will sign the petition - it's the principle! I used to love cadburys - roses, dairy milk, fruit and nut, picnics, fusion, star bars, double deckers.

MinceSpy · 13/01/2015 08:20

Kraft changed part of its empire into Mondelez in 2012, the word is meant to be a combination of world and delicious. They admit they've changed the recipe. I voted with my purse ages ago. I eat very little chocolate now but have recently discovered Weddle and Wavel two Polish brands recently, totally yummy.

iwantgin · 13/01/2015 08:34

helenadove I remember those! Yumm

Not a creme egg fan but I'm prepared to fight for my right to decent chocolate.

GrrrrGrin

worldgonecrazy · 13/01/2015 08:39

Signing but not sure what good it will do.

I have stopped buying Cadbury's chocolate - Lidl, Aldi or Lindt for me.

Thumbwitch · 13/01/2015 08:49

I don't like Lindt bar chocolate, especially not the dark stuff. I do like Lindt bunnies though. Looks like Easter will be Lindt-based from now on.

SoleSource · 13/01/2015 10:16

I never knowingly buy Cadbury's chocolate now. Awful shyte.

honeypie10 · 13/01/2015 13:46

worldgonecrazy It may help. They recently admitted putting dangerous chemicals into the american version of mac and cheese, chemicals associated with cancer.

Of course the british version was fine due to the stringent controls we have, but 2 american mums decided to set up a petition after emailing kraft directly and getting nowhere, so anytime short time after they got 41,000 signatures and the press went into overdrive with it.

Kraft backed down and removed them. People Power. So they do listen. we just need more people to sign and share it.
