I view vegetarians as being unnecessarily fussy and daft. I have friends who are veggies, I will cook for them. Likewise, if someone has an allergy, I will respect that to the nth degree. But I still cannot shake my prejudice that veggies are attention seek-y or making a grand statement mainly cause most of my "veggie" friends stopped so they could stuff their faces with kebabs when drunk and said that they didn't eat bacon as a comment on society xD

Also, I am very, very judge-y about people who use text speak or lazy grammar. Even on things like Facebook. If you're dyslexic, fine. However, I am genuinely on the brink of removing a friend (well, friend of DH who latched on a bit) because her statuses make me want to throttle her.

All of this is wholly internalised and I would never say anything, obviously - tell me yours, no matter how petty / mean / judge-y they are.

Giving my sick child cake at dinner time because she was refusing food and she's hardly eaten all day. Tbf it was cherry cake

LaLa5 · 05/01/2015 22:33

I judge people who are judgy about people who are vegetarian. I always get put next to the person at weddings who wants to know why I'm vegetarian then gives me their opinion on it. I never foist my opinions on anyone about being veggie or not, but they still do it. Did I sit next to you at wedding once OP?

I can't stand AIBU threads (not this one just to be clear!) where people post 'for traffic' and it's something mundane they just want an opinion on, but isn't actually an AIBU situation. I love a good lively AIBU thread like a nice juicy parking thread!

I absolutely judge anyone who cannot be arsed to check spelling in emails or documents at work. It's lazy and shows you up as incompetent - use a spell checker!

I have so many (I like this thread - apart from the veggie thing, that annoyed me).

I judge women who wear black bras under light coloured tops but secretly I'd love to have the nerve to do it myself!

I am very unreasonable about anyone using the word 'super' in front of everything they say. Like 'she's super nice' or 'I was super tired'.

Super fuck right off.

Our next door neighbours leave their kitchen (all glass extension) and landing lights on all night, the windows face the side of our house, therefore we can never get the house dark even in the middle of the night. Blackout blinds have not helped. I know I could put curtains up too, but I don't want to. I know IABU but it ticks me off - who doesn't switch the lights off when they go to bed for goodness sake Hmm

TillyGotTangled · 05/01/2015 22:38

TOAD With great fecking difficulty

This is why some girls me never go to the loo alone. HTH Grin

WyldChyld · 05/01/2015 22:38

LaLa - I'd never interrogate someone about why they're veggie, it's a very silent, very internal form of judging! I know I am hugely unreasonable for this (hence the title) but, as I explained in my OP, I suspect the reason why is because of all the veggies in my friend group who are doing it as a fad (most of them have now decided they're gluten / lactose intolerant now instead...) but will happily abandon their vegetarianism after a couple of drinks in favour of burgers / kebabs / chicken nuggets!

Apostrophes and grammer - oh yes!!

OP posts:
WyldChyld · 05/01/2015 22:39

Oh, lord, that's embarrassing - grammar! That will teach me... I do know how to spell, I promise!! That teaches me to not shout other word spellings to DH whilst typing...

LaLa5 · 05/01/2015 22:43

I've been veggie 20 years, no kebabs here! Don't tar us all with the same brush please - or should I say 'dont tar us all'? ;)

EatDessertFirst · 05/01/2015 22:45

Bad grammar and text speak. Ick. Just lazy.

Lateness. I'll judge anyone who is late very harshly.

And pyjama clad mums on the school run. Just why???

Sorry.

WyldChyld · 05/01/2015 22:46

Oooooh, that makes me twitchy!! This is why I know I am so unreasonable (ooops!) There are lots of proper veggies out there, but I just can't see it! It's like the unswerving belief that chicken noodle soup cures EVERYTHING.

OP posts:
Lweji · 05/01/2015 22:48

It's perfectly reasonable to hate lateness without a good justification.

LaLa5 · 05/01/2015 22:49

But surely chicken soup fixes all? In my house the equivalent is Heinz tomato soup. Always makes life better.

Agree with PJ mums.

Botox. Why do you want to inject your face with botulism? Thy will be judged.

Houses with furniture purely from ikea. Where is your personality and individuality?

Lweji · 05/01/2015 22:49

And chicken soup does cure everything.

DessertFirst - near to where I live, it is increasingly common to see people doing the supermarket shop in dressing gown and slippers!

OP posts:
EatDessertFirst · 05/01/2015 22:54

Sadly, its a common sight at the supermarket my DM works at too Wyld. Surely these people (and the PJ mums) have to wee in the morning? Just put some leggings/jeans/joggers/shorts/kilt on rather than pulling your PJ bottoms back up?! Whats wrong with these people?!

WyldChyld · 05/01/2015 22:57

You'd think so! Particularly in January - I mean, are you not cold? And your slippers will be all wet!!

I'm glad that there are people who also have unreasonable judging traits! The beginning of the thread had my eye rolling a bit, so I'm glad it's been taken in the way it was meant. You never know, Perpendicular, we may avoid the row!

OP posts:
NeedABumChange · 05/01/2015 22:57

Yeah I agree. I get vegans but don't get veggies, well the ones who are veggies for animal cruelty reasons. You know the type who won't eat duck cos it's a quackyquack but are happy to sleep on duck down pillows. The ones who don't bother with veggie wine or veggie cheese, which tbf is stupid and they shouldn't eat cheese at all if they are against animal cruelty.

Boyf is a veggie, a bloody annoying one at that!

IamTitanium · 05/01/2015 23:00

My neighbours parking and taking the 3 only street spaces (usually by parking in 2 spaces like twats), although they have a drive- I know I am unreasonable and it only happens a few times a week at most, still fucks me off, even when I am having an internal debate about my unreasonableness.

I judge people for saying they are not judgy, we all make judgements about something, to me its more important you acknowledge you do as you can then check yourself.

Discopanda · 05/01/2015 23:01

I'm a proper veggie and have several reasons for being one, I can safely say that I've never got drunk and eaten a donner kebab. I am extremely unreasonable about slow walkers, dawdlers and faffers, just p*sses me off, especially when people stop in the aisles of supermarkets to have a chat whilst blocking off the aisle with their trolley, grrrrrrrr!!!

grimbletart · 05/01/2015 23:02

English posters who use the word "gotten". There is no excuse - unless you have time travelled from the 16th century.

Lweji · 05/01/2015 23:02

Veggie wine?
Do they make sure that no flies were hurt in the process of growing and collecting grapes?

WyldChyld · 05/01/2015 23:03

Titanium - I have a similar problem with neighbours parking all over... drives me mad!

I agree, everyone has their own judgements and unreasonable tendencies - it's all about controlling them and not being an arse! (Or just spilling it out on an anonymous form to prevent ranting Wink)

OP posts:
IamTitanium · 05/01/2015 23:04

I make stories up about people I meet/know (sometimes even just people watching) about their life experiences current and past, everything! I then use these made up stories to explain why they may behave a certain way/personality traits etc. This is all in my head obviously.
I am surprising often right though

Alisvolatpropiis · 05/01/2015 23:07

I would like it to be legal to punch slow walkers (not elderly people or people with disabilities, I'm not a total bastard) to the back of the head.

I would also like it to be legal to smother snorers who refuse to go to the doctors to have the problem sorted.

OxonConfusedDotCom · 05/01/2015 23:08

People who don't make their own gravy

Instant coffee drinkers

Latte-with-a-syrup drinkers. Ffs it's a super-fattening hot milk shake. And first thing in the morning!

Vegetarians

People who opt for low fat or diet anything. Idiotic.

Vegans

Smokers

People who are not thin. ( i know, i know.. Am being honest..)
