Please agree with me - it's my first day back at work today and I'm feeling very grumpy.

Am I not right in thinking that the festive season doesn't actually end until tomorrow evening (specifically sunset on the 6th December)? It pisses me right off that nowadays 'Christmas' starts as soon as Guy Fawkes night is over and then finishes abruptly on Boxing Day.

The first day of Christmas is - well - Christmas Day, funnily enough, and the last day is tomorrow MNHQ!

Anyway, I'm still celebrating until tomorrow even if nobody else is

Fully agree. I was sick of Christmas by 29th November to be honest.

Epiphany and twelfth night stuff has nothing to do with Santa smilies and christmas 'tat'... Snowmen/lights/tinsel/coca cola man/slade.... It's nothing to do with the religious aspect

I was pissed off when I noticed this yesterday, I was nearly moved to start a thread in Site Stuff complaining but then couldn't be arsed.

And Andrea and others... The reason why you get sick of Christmas is because it starts waaaay too soon, rather than when it should, ie at Christmas...

No one in England removes Christmas decorations, the tree or the crib surely until 6th. That is what our family has always done.
