To think 'feeling blessed' is a disguised brag

The status update starter "I'm feeling blessed because......." shouldn't end with a brag about what you have materially.

Am I alone in noticing this and has anyone got some funny examples to share?

I just read one "feeling blessed because my gorgeous hubby bought me some amazing presents"

I bet they are just full of witty and interesting statuses because they lead these fabulous lives while sitting there laughing at all the other mundane posts from people who dare to talk about their lovely Christmases and their gifts because you know, they assume their friends on Facebook actually like them enough to not look down their noses at them.

I think some have FB just so they can look down their noses at others who dare use FB for its intended purpose, because they are above that and only use FB for amazingly witty statuses that everyone just loves reading.

I apologise for any typos or grammar... I am having a rare drink and things are spinning.

I use 'feeling blessed' because yes I'm a Christian so I don't view these things as 'luck' so much. However mine are mostly related to having a close family and a lovely DD (who it took nearly 3 years to conceive). But yes, the whole I am so blessed, look at the material stuff I have gained is tacky.

I have just joined a FB group called Harmonic Lovewave-A Tidal Wave of Love. I saw there were 665 members, so I had to join as the 666th member and then freak the hippies out.
