my son would more eat his own arm than join in a Family bible reading.
He is working the Next Sale. Oh the joys of the secular society

I don't, particularly. Smile

RoundRobinSparkles · 24/12/2014 16:33

Sorry, that was to ChocolateTeaCake. I forgot to refresh the page.

RoundRobinSparkles · 24/12/2014 16:37

Tbh, when I said "drives me mad" I was exaggerating a bit. Really it just makes me a bit Hmm that their DC will notice that it's not snowing outside and why doesn't the snow melt inside? Xmas Confused .

I love tracking Santa though!

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 24/12/2014 16:46

if I had icing sugar footprints anywhere in my house Christmas or no I would have a conniption

ugh ugh ugh

Chocolateteacake · 24/12/2014 16:46

Glad to hear it Robin. I'd hate ypu r head to explode or something!

MassaAttack · 24/12/2014 17:35

I never understood the scoffing at baby pasta. It took seconds to cook, and stayed on the spoon. Also, Nigella recommended it.

PrimalLass · 24/12/2014 17:40

I can't do Norad because Santa just passed overhead at 5.20 on the ISS and they will wonder why Norad says he is now in Russia.

ElizabethHoover · 24/12/2014 17:40

oh no we dont scoff at it. Just the twenty thrillion threads about why stores suddenly didnt stock it, all around 2004 #gimmer

The baby pasta issue is where to buy it.

I have a baby, i need to feed it pasta but nowhere sells baby pasta. Helphelphelphelphelp.

Cutting up larger pasta Will. Not. Do.

It must be babby pasta or we're fucked. dON'T give me any shit about smaller pasta or soup pasta or any of that bollocks. It must be specifically BABY PASTA that's made for BABIES so it won't KILL THEM.

Where do I buy it WHEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRE?

ps i need a tuna pasta bake recipe

TheBatteriesHaveRunOut · 24/12/2014 17:48

pps i have derailed this thread

this would never have happened if we still had msn

The problem with Christmas is that it's been done too many times. I have done over 40 of them now. NORAD made things interesting for a bit.

Elf on the Shelf is just bonkers. Making snowy footprints is very bonkers especially if it isn't snowing outside. Grin

TheBatteriesHaveRunOut · 24/12/2014 17:58

Elf on the shelf is eerie and creepy and stalkersome.

My idiot uncle used to do the footprints thing. I said 'but snow would melt and it's not even snowing outside and it looks like flour, not snow' but for some reason he thought my cousins had inherited his tiny brains and would be fooled. Luckily they took after my much smarter aunt.

cardibach · 24/12/2014 18:00

NORAD is fun, and my DD is 18 so we've been doing it for a while! If anyone mentions it in the way the OP describes I just say 'Oh, D loved that!'.
Elf on a Shelf is make-work and bonkers. Christmas bags/hampers are also daft.
But others can do what they want, I suppose

MassaAttack · 24/12/2014 18:05

Ooohh I missed that it had been withdrawn from sale. Mine was too old for Baby Organix in 2004. I did used top stock up on cute soup pasta when I went to France, though.

I'm relieved to have it confirmed that NORAD and NORAID are separate entities.

I remember my first thread on MN, ooh 5 or 6 years ago where I asked about some vital thing like a bikini or something and Elizabeth came on going "been there, done that, ask something different, boooored, yadda, yadda, yadda" Grin

ElizabethHoover · 24/12/2014 18:49

If you're bored with the NORAD tracker have a look at the UK Yule24 on Vimeo ( sorry can't do a link on my phone)

MissBeehiving · 24/12/2014 19:00

you love it, you shameless attention seeker Wink

SquirrelledAway · 24/12/2014 20:37

Personally I like this website.

It's reminiscent of the old tourettes.co.uk website (if anyone remembers that one).
