to ask if you'd like a meal for 2 on Christmas day in Somerset? (title edited by MNHQ)

I am abusing AIBU as I've searched alone with no luck. Please help me with ideas or where best on MN to post.

To keep it simple, I have a fancy Christmas Day lunch for two booked that I can no longer use and can't get refunded. It is silly for it to go to waste, so I'd like to pass it to someone who could do with it.

Currently booked for two adults but could be an adult and child over 3, in Somerset, menu choices haven't been made yet.

Being a Sunday I haven't had any luck contacting local charities. Dont seem to be any local shelters.

Can you think of the best way for me to find a taker?

I came here as I remembered the Christmas Appeal from years ago.

Thanks

How did you get on?

herrena thanks for the thought Smile i managed a sniffy run to the local shop and we snacked on little milk toasts with caviar i'd remembered to buy in advance and chorizo and bits and very untraditionally had spaghetti carbonara in the evening. ds ate chocolate and sweet most of the day and had no complaints and in fact remarked 'thank god we don't have to eat turkey' Grin

hope the OP found taker for her meal. our local was charging £65 per head for christmas dinner.
