No

funchum8am · 18/12/2014 19:25

No.

GnomieGrace · 18/12/2014 19:25

By that I mean YANBU

MrsPresley · 18/12/2014 19:26

YANBU

MuddlingMackem · 18/12/2014 19:26

Eh? YANBU.

Why would it be unreasonable?

Most of the pushchairs we had for our kids were blue, dark blue mostly, because I like blue. We also had one red and one grey. 1 DD and 1 DS.

Only colours I would refuse to have would be pink because I don't like it, or white/cream because it would get filthy. Hmm

justaweeone · 18/12/2014 19:27

Go for it!
My Ds had a purple one!
Also would it worry you if you drove a blue car??

FastWindow · 18/12/2014 19:27

Yanbu. I dress dd in the boys jeans and jumpers from tesco or asda or whatever as they a) are lined and b) exist.
Try finding a normal jumper for a girl. It's all frippery and twee pictures. Gah

SANTABankWadgerHAT · 18/12/2014 19:27

No.

DD here has a blue pushchair. Hasn't done her any harm.

bakingtins · 18/12/2014 19:28

Everyone will assume she's a boy. I have had countless old biddies asking me what his name is even though dd has a pink snowsuit on. I bought a navy pushchair for ds1, because I liked the colour rather than 'blue for a boy' and I haven't seen fit to replace it. Buy it if constantly correcting people won't piss you off.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 18/12/2014 19:28

My dd has a blue buggy.. Don't understand why it would be a problem..

ouryve · 18/12/2014 19:28

Good grief, no. She might grow a willy or something.

(Of course YANBU)

padkin · 18/12/2014 19:29

It's fine. Don't be daft. I like the comment on whether you'd be happy in a blue car. Same difference.

SoleSource · 18/12/2014 19:29

YABU at the age of 5 your DD will have grown a full beard.

ghostyslovesheep · 18/12/2014 19:29

no idea at all why a. YWBU or b. why you need to ask!

ApocalypseNowt · 18/12/2014 19:31

nope

Fanfeckintastic · 18/12/2014 19:32

Grin soul

HesterShaw · 18/12/2014 19:34

Why on earth might it be construed as unreasonable? Confused

mytartanscarf · 18/12/2014 19:34

Buy the one you want.

Waiting for someone to tell us how blue was once a girl's colour and boys and girls used to wear dresses, though. Nice variant on "DS wants to dress as Elsa from Frozen" though.

TravellingToad · 18/12/2014 19:35

I don't get it. Does the pushchair have barbed wire in it? why would it be unreasonable?

HesterShaw · 18/12/2014 19:35

Oh that people might think she is male? Because she's in a PALE BLUE pushchair??????

How weird.

mollypollly · 18/12/2014 19:36

Thanks ladies Grin I have a yellow one at the mo but need to replace the hood and footmuff...I love the blue colour but my friend balked when I said I wanted to get it for my DD! I thought it was a strange reaction, but I can imagine getting fed up of people asking how old 'he' is etc...

This blue stuff is weird, you must admit. As a baby and little girl, I had very red hair. I was never dressed in pink ever as it clashed wildly with my hair, and also I didn't like pink. My favourite colour and the one I wore a lot was blue. I'm not aware that anyone thought I was a boy.

Actually as a child of the 70s, I was equally often dressed in brown, mustard and sludge green, but that's by the by.

WhereIsMySantaHat · 18/12/2014 19:39

Is it the pale blue bugaboo colour one? Of so, it is lovely and completely fine for a girl or boy.

mollypollly · 18/12/2014 19:53

Yes santashat, it's the ice blue one...I think it would be lovely for a girl too! Smile

My only thought would be light blue, think that will get dirty pretty fast.
