Kissing (almost) adult children

My partner always kissing his DCs on the lips (ages 16-22, male and female). I find this very uncomfortable - he sees them 50/50, at least 3 times a week so it's not like he doesn't see them often, when they come in he sits there with his lips puckered and they all kiss him on the lips, a couple (there are 4) look uncomfortable.

AIBU to think you don't do this once they are practically or are adults? I hug and kiss my 18yo son (on the cheek) but this lip kissing makes mE uncomfortable, especially as the kids get older.

I think when the naysayers imagine lip kissing, it's perhaps a serious moment? I would say that the lip kisses I share with anyone other than my husband are more gestural, a little comedic, perhaps with hands on cheeks and stupid faces.

I find comments like 'lip kissing is for partners' quite creepy and turns my stomach. I don't know exactly why. Maybe because it is sexualising an act or part of the body unnecessarily or maybe it's because it implying those who do it are incestuous.

Obviously I am a lip kisser. Parents, dc, friends, anyone really. But also i'm not much of a partner/sexual/intimate kisser. So that may be why i don't think 'lip kissing is for partners'.

Gosh I'm the opposite I find the idea of lip kissing parents or my dc creepy- stomach churning even. A bit sick! Until this thread I didn't realise anyone did this.
