Bastards parking on pavements!

People that completely block the footpaths with their cars. AIBU to have pre-printed some notes to leave on windscreens because on a 5 minute journey I counted 12! There is NEVER an excuse!

This boils my piss! Angry (in case there was any doubt)

Crikey Esmum that's awful.

I had exactly this discussion on a "name and shame site".

Esmum07 - it would seem sensible for the council to paint double yellow lines along one side of that particular road. Simple and easy - ridiculous that they haven't.

I do actually own the path outside my house. There is one bit (which couldn't be parked on anyway) that is a public right of way, but the rest is actually in my boundary but beyond my fence and hedge.

We do park on it, a bit. But it is a decent 3 metres wide, and we don't drive a hummer, so anyone is free to get past.

Just down the way, though, there are many, many large vans that block the entire pavement. I occasionally mutter but just cross the road and walk on the other side....not too much hardship.

Ida I salute your path ownership Grin

It wasn't the case for the lady I encountered though.

Also a nightmare for us VI people. DP has a guide dog and they confuse it to no end. Can't get the buggy past either!

LuisSuarezTeeth · 22/12/2014 14:47

Quite so ByeBye I would think that one of the biggest dangers.

Especially when the car is parked over the bobbly bits on the dropped kerb (forgot the name sorry)

The ones who really get me muttering and snarling are the cars/vans who park where there are double yellow lines, but instead of parking on the road then park two wheels on the pavement, and the best bit is ... put on their hazard warning lights! Brilliant, ignore no parking, drive on the pavement but it is ok cos I have my hazard lights going! Meanwhile the traffic warden is safely in the (paying) car park peering to see if anyone is 5 minutes over their parking ticket (yes that was me). Grr
