To wonder how many coats duchess of Cambridge has?

Just that really, every outfit has a whole different coat. I'm in clothes awe, mainly because I couldn't afford a maternity coat and instead sewed extra buttons onto my old one.

Kate factor!!!

No, we haven't. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's public spending comes from the income of the Duchy of Cornwall. Prince William is independently wealthy as a result of the inheritance from Diana so could pay for coats himself too.

it's a weird mix of crown and private lands. it seems to be considered crown land for taxation purposes (so it's low taxed) and private land for profit purposes (yay! they get all the money!).

or they could take the 4 million they saved by getting the sovereign grant to pay for home repairs (money that is supposed to be for the Queen's official duties).

But I am mad at Kate for making reiss so expensive - used to regularly shop there but the prices have shot up due the the late factor ( quality hasn't)

Same with LK Bennett which I have bought since their 1st shop opened. The price is ridiculous now but also as the demand has risen the quality has dropped. My last 2 pairs of LKB patent shoes have split- yet I have had 50 pairs over the years with no problems.

Coats apart, I wish that the Duchess would wear her hair up more. It looks so much smarter, making her look classier and it would stop her having to keep pushing her long hair back, wouldn't it?

NotYouNaanBread · 11/12/2014 17:49

I noticed that her hair was back in a ponytail when she met the endlessly cool Jenna Lyons - maybe she knows she looks fearfully dated when she wears it down & was trying to improve on the situation for meeting somebody she probably admires, sartorially? She is so much prettier with it back.

Simba - glad you said that. I uses to buy work things in Reiss years ago when I worked in a v formal company. I had a quick look at the website recently to update some of my formal stuff and couldn't believe the prices.
