To allow cats in bedroom when DP isn't here?

DP and I had a row last night. We have been together a year and a half. I have two cats, one a dainty wee long hair and another that's a gorgeous brute of a bengal. I adore them both.

I don't live with my DP. He maintains he can't live with me because he can't say anything about my kids or cats without me jumping down his throat. He also says I have no respect for him because when he isn't staying, I have the cats on the bed.

Way I see it, I LIKE having the cats on the bed. I like listening to their purrs and settling off to sleep. I am respectful in that when he stays the cats go into the kitchen. When he isn't here I do what I want to do. He is my BF, not my husband. AIBU?

My boy just attached himself to my leg. Complete with teeth and claws. That means two things. Pain and an empty food bowl. Smile

Cats paws smell of digestive biscuits Smile

Oooh, I LOVE digestive biscuits. Don't suppose my cat would much like me dunking his paw in my tea though Grin

Ditch the bloke and keep the cats!
Nothing better than snuggling up in bed with my cats.
Luckily it also includes my bf Smile who loves cats.

A bit lot OT but I've discovered Coshida cat food from Lidl and Asda.

It cost about £4 for five days' worth for his size. I could probably stretch it to almost seven days with biscuits and vegetables - he likes vegetables.

It looks and smells okay. He fell on it like a vampire, which is my dilemma.

Should I let him eat it or is it cat crystal meth that will kill him?

It's cheap and he loves it. I want to indulge him but I don't want to lose him.

Am going to re-post in Cat Litter too. But if anyone here can help, I'd be grateful.

Cats in the bed is minging and I am a massive animal lover, I once slept in a stable with a poorly foal. They shed and dribble and make the bed smell. I have cats and they don't smell but it still makes the bed smell. My friend lets her cats sleep on piles of clothes and you can always smell when she's wearing something from the cat pile.

Jesus. When we moved in together he took on me, my 3 DCs and 2 cats. He isn't happy unless we have the cats sleeping on (in) the bed now.

Oh and my bed and clothes don't smell. Not of cats anyway.

Limited, my girl had terrible bowel issues from the moment I got her. Took her to the vet, tried prescribed food, gut flora paste, tablets to stop the runs, hypoallergenic food. This went on for three months and it was getting to the stage the vet was wanting to do loads of tests on her. Then one day I decided I would give her plain old whiskas like my cats before her. 48 hours and normal movements. Never looked back. It might be cheap and full of crap but it stopped my kittens problems so it can't be bad in my book! She's now a healthy little fatty. Smile

Thanks celestria. I gave him his normal Felix stuff this morning. That's not very expensive either - luckily he's a cheap date! He ate it but he doesn't like it as much, so it's back to the Coshida.

Another cat woke me at 6am screeching outside the door. He's obviously not pleased that my cat is now on his territory. I scared him off. My cat didn't seem upset. He seemed to be thinking: 'I'm in here and it's nice and warm. Loser.' He wasn't nearly as upset as me.

Have you shown DP the red card yet?
