@CarcerDun

Using sanding paper or an emery board, file it right down. Put on some Bazuka then cover with gaffa tape.

Repeat daily until the bastard dies. This was done on advice of our GP. it worked with DHs long standing ones.

This just spread mine. Mine disappeared of their own accord after about 15 years - completely bizarre and I've no idea why. I was elated!

I had two verrucas for about 10 years. I eventually got rid of them with scissors (!), Bazuka gel, and a a foot scraper that looked a little like a cheese grater. Good luck!

7yo DS had a massive one - I put Bazuka on it and then he picked it until it bled, repeatedly. I couldn’t repeat the treatment very often because you aren’t supposed to put it on broken skin, but his picking got rid of it anyway. This process took a couple of months.

ZOMBIE THREAD

OP stared this thread in 2014. I’m sure the verruca has gone.

The only thing that will work is banana skin taped at night for about a week. It will work.

I had one for a year. Tried everything - freezing, ointment, lotions etc - several trip to doctor but nothing worked.

Heard key thing is to deprive it of air.So tried old wife’s remedy in desperation. Covered it with men’s shaving foam, let the foam harden then covered it again with duct tape. Reapplied the duct tape as necessary over two week period keeping air and water way from it. Washing limited to keeping affected leg out of the shower.

Removed the duct tape after 2 weeks and the entire verucca came with it leaving new perfect skin behind. The verucca never came back.

Really glad my son's resolved on their own. Apparently they usually go on there own within 2 years (!). My son had one which started going after about 3 months and then another one appeared! They had both gone within 2 months after that with no treatment just to give hope to anyone out there whos kids gets them! I suppose adults might take longer...

My dad bought my sister’s wart from her many years ago. Her wart vanished and his on his wrist got bigger.
I remembered this when DD (7) had two feet covered in mosaic verruca and a wart on her finger. DP bought her wart and from her and about 2 months later, her wart and verruca disappeared. DP has a wart in the back of his ankle and it’s grown a touch bigger.

Don’t ask me how or why this work but it did. Something to do with rubbing a copper coin on the warty area?

I had one that I told one dermatologist I had named Big Daddy. It was frozen, I had super strength skin dissolving stuff, and even resorted to some chemotherapy drug being injected. The GP said he had never seen anything like it - I told him there were lots of us but most of us just gave up. On yet another freezing one day it really hurt, more than usual, and carried on hurting. That was actually it's death knell. There is a theory that you don't actually kill it but rather it's your immune system being woken up to deal with it. It is a virus and your immune system can kick it out.

I had some kind of electrolysis on mine didn’t hurt and went away

Busybee5000 · 01/09/2021 08:30

I had the same and had Swift treatment for mine. Costs a lot but eventually got rid after many sessions. After 10 years, no standard gel treatment touched mine.
