To not slap George Osborne in the face should I meet him

Now mn I think we can all agree that Osborne is a smug faced greasy ass spawn of Satan. He is top of my list of faces I'd love to slap. In fact he may top my all time list beating even Renee zig weirder (I like that auto correct am keeping it, sure you will figure it out).

However, Satan's spawn has just saved me the guts of £4K on a house purchase. What with that, and it being the season of gooD will, I am thinking that should I happen upon him, WIBU to refrain from giving him a good slap. I think maybe until the new year then all bets are off.

YABU. It is the public duty of all right-thinking people to slap George Osborne in the face at any and every opportunity.

MrsMarcJacobs · 04/12/2014 03:42

great, thanks for reducing stamp duty about 10 years too late for it to make a difference to buyers in London. Cheers mate.

Belleende · 04/12/2014 08:38

Ooh just saw his mug on breakfast telly. No way I could not slap him. What was I thinking?

I remember seeing Lauren Laverne on tv once saying that she'd once spotted Portillo in an airport, and shouted at him: "Portillo, you're a cunt!"

The rest of us talk about it but it takes someone special to actually do it. Smile

PausingFancy · 04/12/2014 09:25

"we paid £8000 instead of £4000 stamp duty three years ago. That nearly killed us."

Possibly not the best choice of words when Georgie's cuts are actually killing people. You know, dead.

marryj · 04/12/2014 09:27

I used to see David milliband quite often in prim hill, when he had a cab position. He was always with his kids so I usually just looked him in the eyes and shook my head.

If I saw brown, I would shout something like you cunt, you spent my future and my kids future!

Bodicea · 04/12/2014 12:41

Voice of reason Aussie bloke. There are a lot of blinkered weirdos on here.

Fixing over-steep graduation in tax = potentially good, depending on unintended consequences.

Huge cut in net tax receipts = interesting choice, minister, in the middle of "austerity".

ravenAK · 04/12/2014 18:26

I like the crowd funding.

There's 450,000 teachers in the UK. I used to reckon if Gove ever visited our school I could retire in style on a fiver off each of them, once I got out of priz.

DoraGora · 04/12/2014 18:37

George Osborne is a prick who knows bugger all about economics.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 04/12/2014 18:45

"He's not a bad bloke really. Just trying to sort out the mess the last lot.left us with".

Well..he is shafting the poor and disabled and the deficit isn't any smaller so I would argue he IS a bad bloke and a useless Chancellor too.

I was at Oxford same time as him but don't remember crossing his path or I would have punched him in advance

FamiliesShareGerms · 04/12/2014 18:51

GO has a truly lovely cat

MeganBacon · 04/12/2014 19:01

I never understand why people waste their emotion hating public figures who are just trying to do their job on the basis of having a clammy face or an expression that isn't quite right. I've seen him at work and he works incredibly hard and always looks stressed and tired and is more interested in working than trying to look fresh as a daisy all the time. Which I think is to his credit. Who in their right mind would be wiling to take on the responsibilities of his job?

flippinada · 04/12/2014 19:19

There's plenty to hate about Gideon aside from his appearance.

apotatoprintinapeartree · 04/12/2014 19:24

YABVVVVU

He and his partner in crime are closing CAB, now a cynic might think that they are doing this so that poor people who can't afford solicitors won't get the advice they need.
Meanwhile he is at a Bentley factory hob nobbing with the rich and of course the workers who will never afford a car that costs so much money.
Oh, yes his Bentley that he doesn't even drive because his chauffeur does.

flippinada · 04/12/2014 19:49

Come on potato, who gives a stuff about the poor and vulnerable when there's a few K to be saved on mortgages?

Get your priorities right!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 04/12/2014 19:51

Megan..err because he has made cuts which have adversely affected people?

It seems more shallow to like him despite what he has done because he "works hard" Hmm

Flatsfromnowon · 04/12/2014 23:35

Megan, he could have refused that post and remained an MP. He is the Chancellor for goodness sake - he should be taking his job seriously.

Unfortunately the truth of the matter is he is carrying out the Tory economic ideology and is scaling back the state i.e. cutting welfare, public sector workers, funding for NHS etc. etc.

chilephilly · 05/12/2014 06:53

I work hard.
In the public sector, and Gideot wants to cut me.
Therefore I will slap Gideot in the face with a chunk of 4 by 2 at every opportunity.

CaptainAnkles · 05/12/2014 07:04

Don't vote them back in, please. I don't want to have to choose a different country to live in. Oh, and I would adore slapping his stupid shiny greasy clammy smug face.

Grin at Chilephilly! Happy to hold your jacket and wield 4x2 when your arms get tired!

JackSkellington · 05/12/2014 12:25

This! His smug face is one of many reasons why I (and so many others) can't stand Osborne.
