I'm the most indecisive person and my list of potential names is getting longer not shorter!
I want a shortish easy name for a male kitten.
So far I have joey, Oscar, Sam, jasper, Leo, Archie, Alfie

I'll post a pic of him so you can see what you think suits the best, he is a tabby/stripey British shorthair cross.

Or please feel free to share any other names you think of :)

My friend has Clement Catlee.

mrsmilesmatheson · 23/11/2014 09:08

He looks like my old cat oscar who we lost earlier this year Smile. We now have a ginger half Bengal called jasper.

I also like max or Sebastian.

mrsmilesmatheson · 23/11/2014 09:13

Tesco. I always wanted a cat called Tesco. I have no idea why Blush

itsaknockout · 23/11/2014 14:36

I thought 'Archie' before I read your short list. My brother has named his kittens 'mike' and 'Sandra'.Which are the most un catlike names in teh world!

limitedperiodonly · 23/11/2014 15:03

What a beauty.

I've always gone for human names - Emma, George, Colin.

But my next cat name is Nimrod.

Because he's the mighty hunter.

limitedperiodonly · 23/11/2014 15:09

I called a timid stray Spook, because she hung around for ages and spooked us until she trusted us. She was tabby and white and so sad.

Jasper is beautiful mrsmiles and that's a good name too.

PomPomPingPong · 23/11/2014 16:21

Pablo

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 23/11/2014 16:44

Yes, he is quite stony in colour. Pablo would suit him, or Umber...Sandy, Pebble, Cumin, Garam Masala...

happybunny2014 · 23/11/2014 21:08

Awww he's adorable! From your list I'd say Alfie, from the other names suggested I like Dave, Teddy and Monty! He'd make an ace Monty.
We have a few cats the best named being a really mischievous black cat called Dennis. Let us all know what you chose OP!

Didactylos · 23/11/2014 21:10

hes a seamus

Welshmaenad · 23/11/2014 21:44

I have a silver tabby called Merlin, which I recommend.

LapsedTwentysomething · 23/11/2014 21:50

Ours was called Neil. He started life as Nell but sprouted a pair of balls so we had to change it. He decided he'd prefer to live at the pub over the road when DD was born. I miss him.

nocoolnamesleft · 23/11/2014 22:34

Tybalt, king of cats.

Enjorasdream · 24/11/2014 02:59

Roy

Bulbasaur · 24/11/2014 03:10

You posted a picture of him in your opening post. This makes me think we can one day be best friends. :)

Hmm..

  • Alex
  • Luke
  • Owen
  • Dave

I personally like Oscar.

I name my pets after ancient figures/gods: Isis, Orion, Maya.

Shakirasma · 24/11/2014 07:58

What about William? Will for short.

EleanorAbernathy · 24/11/2014 08:20

Our boy cats are Sparkle, Bruce and The Slink :)

Help1234 · 27/11/2014 20:24

Thank you for all the great ideas, just to let you know I've gone for a Jasper Smile

Aww. Jasper is cute.
Hi baby Jasper. Sending you lots of snuggles.
How is the little darling settling with you, o.p.
You must be always squashing him. He's too cute.
Kittens are delicious though, aren't they

Help1234 · 27/11/2014 20:49

I haven't had him yet, he is still a bit too small to leave but they wanted to know the name so they could start using it :) now that's decided I need to think about buying a bed and things he will need when he arrives....so excited!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 27/11/2014 20:57

Aww I bet you can't wait. Have you met him, yet.
I'll be so jealous of all those kitten snuggles.
He must be so tiny.
#melts into liquid.

FrancesNiadova · 27/11/2014 21:03

Awww, Jasper, «sighs» Blush
Nimbus has stalked off in disgust!

StillSquirrelling · 27/11/2014 21:13

My animals have always been named after either Greek mythological characters or Shakespearean ones. Some nice ones for boys:

Apollo
Perseus
Midas
Hector
Oedipus (one of my cats was called Oedipus :) )

Thisbe
Caius
Paris
Tybalt
