Unless I'm hallucinating, didn't it have a full title before and is now an acrony? And, when I clink on AIBU, it directs me to Topics. Or is it me?

Can it be changed back. Why is this topic singled out for a hatchet job.

My ipad could find aibu has something changed as not bookmarked any more..

I kind of agree with usualsuspect that it might at least make people post in other topics, but share the grumpiness about change.

And yes, the SN topics have also changed which really is a bad move as might mean people actually can't find it.

Yes, there has been some change, and no, it was nothing to do with seeing if we could get a thread started called 'AIBU about AIBU?'

We have changed some of the topic titles so that they fit more easily onto small screens - substantially more than 50% of our traffic is now on mobile so it makes sense.

We'll pass on your comments and concerns and will respond more fully tomorrow when bigger and cheesier cheeses are available. You're stuck with me for now.

It's incredibly easy to redirect the old main page with the long title to the new AIBU main page. Can't believe you changed it to be honest without realising it would break when it takes about two seconds to redirect it.

Yes, as IonaMumsnet said this is all about mobile (which is how most MNers access the site these days); the longer topic titles were taking up a lot of space and were meaning that it was difficult for us to fit everything in.
