Or anywhere else for that matter! I know this has been discussed on here before but I have to vent somewhere.

The word "lil" instead of little

One woman constantly calls everyone "missy"

People calling me "love". I don't mind this in areas of Britain where being called "love" is a normal part of the vocabulary but where I'm from it just seems to have replaced the annoying "chick". e.g. "Alright my chick?" Has now been replaced with "Okay love".

Cannot STAND it...Aaarghh!

OP posts:
magpiegin · 14/11/2014 16:47

I saw 'I sent you an inbox' the other day.

BlueberryWafer · 14/11/2014 16:49

"Tekkers" for technique seems to have made an appearance on my news feed over the last few days... Very irritating.

RoseTheHat · 14/11/2014 17:04

Similar to "This guy" etc.

"So this happened" (picture of something dull/ someone turning up somewhere)

I don't mind FB though - I like to be annoyed Grin If someone is TOO annoying, I know how to hide them off my newsfeed!

NorahBone · 14/11/2014 17:15

I'm with you Rose I've hidden the people I find offensive, a good part of the ones that are left I just enjoy taking the micky out of. The most attention-seeky behaviour has to be the ones who tag themselves as being at the local hospital with no explanation Grin

SpringBreaker · 14/11/2014 17:18

hashtags on facebook posts make me want to block people

Bulbasaur · 14/11/2014 17:19

Cutesy hashtags.

#lovemylilman
#snuggles
#fuckoff

One of these is not like the others... Grin

whitesandstorm · 14/11/2014 17:27

"Cured"
"What's up Hun"
"I'll inbox ya"
If you don't want to tell the world WHY have you put it on FB.

holmessweetholmes · 14/11/2014 17:31

YANBU OP and everyone else. Cringeworthy.

SheffieldWondered · 14/11/2014 17:37

..and yet another thread to remind me why it's great not having Facebook.

Poorly sick Confused

TheHorseHasBolted · 14/11/2014 17:59

I really hope nobody thinks they know who I am, because a lot of my FB friends who are actually perfectly nice people do some of these things, but...

Calling their sons "little men" - ugh! I just picture two-foot-tall middle-aged men in suits. Nobody ever calls girls "little women," do they?

Abbreviating everything - "wiv" for with, "ur" for your, etc. It's not a text, you can have as many characters as you like!

People who just endlessly share jokes and links and never post anything of their own.

Constantly stating that they love their husbands and children. Isn't that what you'd expect?

References to drinking "on a school night" if school plays no part in their lives.

Racists and other intolerant people stating their opinions as if they were facts.

Really boring updates - "having a cup of tea" etc.

...and yes, people who tell you the middle of a story about some problem they've got, without telling you what the problem is. The same people who do that always seem to have a lot more problems than average, too.

500smiles · 14/11/2014 18:11

"..and yet another thread to remind me why it's great not having Facebook. "

I know, I know but I just can't give it up Grin

ovaryhill · 14/11/2014 18:16

There was a thread similar to this a wee while ago
One of the ones that have me the rage is the 'feeling blessed' so after a little deliberation I changed my status to 'just had a massive shit, feeling blessed' #biglog #Andrex #give it a minute
Left in on for the day then deleted GrinGrin

MyNameIsSuz · 14/11/2014 19:02

I wasn't going to add to this, but just can't believe nobody has mentioned the x as punctuation yet, it drives me nuts! "off on holiday tomorrow x seeing my girls tonight x love my little family x!" Arrrrrrgh!

sunflower49 · 14/11/2014 19:08

I am that person who says 'hun' or 'hon' on fb.

I don't know what the alternative is? I saw it as not too chavvy or imposing (I'd never use 'babe' for example), not too over-familiar, but friendly.

I am trying to train myself out of it!

Katiepoes · 14/11/2014 19:15

Adding 'so true' when someone posts one of those bloody Dalai Lama-style nonsensical statements. Especially when the poster is a twisted rage filled individual at the best of times.

I have blocked people that say 'prolly' and 'vacay'...am now moving on to the users of 'lil', 'bubs' and anyone telling me it's Friday. My feed is about to be very very slow...

TattooEnvy · 14/11/2014 19:15

I can't bare 'loooool'

Lol is bad enough without it being 'Laugh out out out out out loud' Hmm

Concordial · 14/11/2014 19:25

'Ffs' just by itself as a status, gets people piling in asking 'what's wrong hun/bbe/gawjus?'

Also dislike a check in at a hospital sometimes accompanied by a :-(.
That also gets a chorus of 'what's wrong hun/bbe/gawjus?'

Noticed recently 'pop up for a rate' or 'like for a rate'.
What??

formerbabe · 14/11/2014 19:42

Awesomesauce
Amazeballs

Just fuck off!

MarjorieMelon · 14/11/2014 20:55

Yes "like for a like". What does that even mean? Perhaps you have to be very young to understand.

StormSwept · 14/11/2014 20:59

"Can't believe my ickle princess is 1year old, where does the time go"

It always starts with "can't believe"

Argghh!

Revenant · 14/11/2014 21:21

"Hunni". I got called that earlier. By someone I don't even know well.

whitesandstorm · 14/11/2014 21:50

Thehorsehasbolted...... That bit you said about "little women" .. my late Mil used to call my dd when she was a baby, "little woman", I'd never heard it said. It always made me look at my baby and imagine a woman's face on her.

DadOnIce · 14/11/2014 23:09

The next person to say BLESSED on Facebook will get this

OraProNobis · 14/11/2014 23:11

One of the ones that have me the rage is the 'feeling blessed' so after a little deliberation I changed my status to 'just had a massive shit, feeling blessed' #biglog #Andrex #give it a minute

Thanks for that post - reading this in bed and now woken up an adult and two dogs with laughing and then choking! Supremely funny post!
