He is a nice guy but he us doing my head in.
He didn't work till the age of 30. He is educated, has a private school education, but had a lot of money so had no need to work.

He started working and has been doing the same job for the last 4 years. He works 4 days a week. Has no dependents, no pets or responsibility.

He usually works core hours 9-6 ish but with xmas coming up the hours have all changed. Some days he is starting at 7 but will finish at 3. Some days start at 2 and finish at 11.

He has not stopped complaining about it.

He sent me a text this morning saying ' fuck this' at 630 am. I had already been awake for 30 mins at that point and was getting out of the shower. I get up at that time everyday, have done for years.

I have friends and family that work 12 hour shifts and have to juggle children and a home too.

And just want to tell him to man up.

I have only just noticed the stuff about the drunken night and the father. that was pretty bad behaviour. However if he has truly modified his drinking and made an effort to behave differently, then a second chance (though not a third for any similar behaviour again) seems reasonable to me. Nobody is perfect.

bumbling. agreed, and thats the basis i moved forward on.

If you lead a busy life with responsibilities it must be hard listening to his moaning. But from his point of view getting up at 6.30 am is probably a chore if he's not used to it. Just seems you're on different wave lengths and it just isn't going to work in the long term. But if he's not sponging of you and paying his way and you enjoy his company why not coast along for the time being.

Unless he's the best fuck you've ever had, and he takes you to heaven and back three times over every time, life's too short to put up with crappy infantile men! Just move on, plenty enough fish out there to date once a week or so.

Vintagecrap · 14/11/2014 14:40

Haha, have you done any dating recently :)

Everything else is fine, bar this moan. And I've told him and he said I am right. So... no issue really

You can;t post anything moaning about a partner/boyfriend on MN OP. Not without defending why you are with them Wink

If mumsnet was real no one would have relationships that lasted over a few weeks because everyone would jump ship at every tiny opportunity.

Not only is this man a tool but a complete toolbox. Goodness knows what effect he is having on your self-respect. Vintage, the fact that you are still seeking the opinions of others on this relationship speaks volumes. I think you know what needs to happen. Your move. Best of. Wink

I'd tell him To give me a call when he's grown up.
