For this to be a deal breaker?

Met a man who I get on with really well, he's a good friend of a good friend he treats me well but one thing annoys the hell out of me...

He's one of those annoying ranty people on FB. Every disagreement, annoyance in his life is publicised. I find it childish, cringy and quite honestly it irrationally bugs the shit out of me. He's actually not ranty in RL at all so I just don't get it.

Would this be a deal breaker for anyone else or is it just me?

Good grief that's awful. Always always always trust your instinct Grin
Can I suggest the meme below for you to post in response?

Only kidding. That would bring you right down to his level, obvs.

HonestLie · 13/11/2014 18:49

I will indeed, he's in the pub. This is going to get worse over the evening eh?

Jolleigh · 13/11/2014 18:53

Yes, yes it is. But if he screen shots a message saying it's about his constant personal broadcasting to Facebook, he's just drunkenly proving your point. If he does and you're feeling particularly irritated by it, just comment: "^^see what I mean?"

RandomMess · 13/11/2014 19:03

That is just hideous, far worse than I thought possible!!

LumpenproletariatAndProud · 13/11/2014 19:18

I know a woman just like this.

Its a huge shame because she is really lovely, clearly kind hearted and a laugh to be around. Yet she's hidden and I know without a doubt it will be hugely off putting for men.

^Who needs to write their status 10-15 times a day? (I actually counted once, does that make me worse?! Probably.)

I can use fb to vent, thats for sure. But not too often (I hope) and I attempt to balance it out with funnies. And my friends have looked genuinely shocked when I asked if I whine too much on fb, so I hope that Im not one of those Annoying Twats.

LumpenproletariatAndProud · 13/11/2014 19:19

In case that wasnt clear, it isn't me who updates 10-15 times a day!

MyIronLung · 13/11/2014 19:34

He has sooooooo justified your decision for you. Good chap!

HonestLie · 13/11/2014 20:15

Ok I'm actually Facebook stalking him. You know how when someone likes/comments on something that's public it shows up on your newsfeed? Well there has been ALOT of girls pictures

OP posts:
HonestLie · 13/11/2014 20:19

GrinGrinGrinGrin

He just commented "tidy" on my friends picture she just screenshot me it with a WTF message. Oooh I'm so glad I dumped him. Who knew he'd turn into such a man child?!

OP posts:
Jolleigh · 13/11/2014 20:21

Lol, he's obviously trying to get your attention. Or at least I assume so...I don't know many people who start liking other people's pics while they're out getting drunk.

HonestLie · 13/11/2014 20:25

If he is out getting drunk.

OP posts:
Jolleigh · 13/11/2014 20:29

Aaaah, very true. He probably isn't. Is he doing the creepy thing of liking really old pictures? Nothing makes a person look more like a stalker than liking a pic from 2007!

beavington · 13/11/2014 21:13

Oh how embarrassing i wish all wankers would advertise it like this! Keep stalking op!

HonestLie · 13/11/2014 21:22

Out or not he's drinking. Had a missed call when I went for a bath and a text asking if that's really it? Hmm

OP posts:
Jolleigh · 13/11/2014 21:49

Have you messaged him back? Or told him why yet?

ThePinkOcelot · 13/11/2014 21:58

I just don't understand anyone putting their life on FB tbh. I find it a bit pathetic really.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 13/11/2014 22:02

Get back with him, he's comedy gold

weeblueberry · 13/11/2014 22:04

I'd be so tempted to just send him a screenshot of all the crap is posting with a single 'yes' at the end.

Whereisegg · 13/11/2014 22:20

Get back with him, he's comedy gold Grin

ChelsyHandy · 13/11/2014 22:32

Hmmn, its up to you. I try to be patient with people who have opinions to express. I once went out with a very quiet man who gave no public opinions on anything. He turned out to be a cheat, a liar and extremely unreliable.

Men who use FB and the internet too much in general are a bit fishwifey for my liking, but if its quite informed ranting and he is making good points, politely, it wouldn't put me off.

ChelsyHandy · 13/11/2014 23:00

Correcting what I wrote above. I've just read page 2. He gives the impression he isn't very bright - is he aware of this? I had an image of journalism type posts, making interesting well made points! Clearly not! Either that or he is just really irritating and indulged. You cannot possibly be in a relationship with someone who posts that kind of stuff! I suspect single status may be something he uses quite a lot in years to come...

And he used the word "tidy"...

HonestLie · 13/11/2014 23:09

I know, who the fuck says tidy? No I haven't responded, no point if he's 3 sheets to the wind and in a ranty mood. I'll text him tomorrow and I think I'll tell him the reason too. Or maybe since he likes everything to be public I'll just send him a link to this thread...

OP posts:
HonestLie · 13/11/2014 23:10

If FB is anything to go by he'd probably come on and comment Grin

paperandstone · 13/11/2014 23:22

Looooooooooooollllll this is SOOOOO funny

ChelsyHandy · 13/11/2014 23:37

Do it! Do it! You would be providing a public service, not just to him but all those other irritating men who carry on like this.
