DH didn't 'sleep around' the cat last night. Should I LTB?

She was sleeping at our feet as usual but he stretched out and she ended up getting off the bed.
Surely rule one of cat ownership is that you sleep round the cat.
He also thinks it is ok to move her if she is sat in his chair.

I think leaving might be the best option.

If the cat wants him to leave she will soon tell him.

I wouldn't allow a cat to sleep in my bed in the first place, but I think that might be missing the point Smile

Thebodynowchillingsothere · 06/11/2014 08:55

Don't worry op the cats already planning a hit on your dh.

Our cat spent the night stretched between us, front paws around my neck and her back paws around dhs.

It's the law.

ChippingInAutumnLover · 06/11/2014 08:55

LTB

There's just no excuse for that kind of behaviour. None!

BirdhouseInYourSoul · 06/11/2014 08:56

She'll deal with it don't worry.

Watch out for neighbours reporting missing underwear from washing lines. You may find a stray pair dropped into his gym bag...

Gileswithachainsaw · 06/11/2014 08:56

Yanbu.

Ltb

Vitalstatistix · 06/11/2014 08:57

I judge your cat, frankly.

No self respecting moggy would tolerate such behaviour from staff.

Am laughing at 'cat ownership' though. Ownership. Bless your deluded little heart.

captain you do realise that cats make the rules of the house don't you? Wink

ChaircatMiaow · 06/11/2014 08:57

Who the hell does he think he is? It's HER bed and HER chair! Frankly, I don't even know why you're asking IABU. Clearly he needs to be divorced immediately.

Pipbin · 06/11/2014 08:58

She and I are still in bed.
I think she might be plotting revenge.

WienerDiva · 06/11/2014 08:58

YANBU, he's laying the path for his own kitty planned demise. He's been most foolish.

ChaircatMiaow · 06/11/2014 09:00

PS I spent last night sleeping in the most awkward position imaginable, at 7 months pregnant, as the real Chaircat decided shed like to stretch out in my spot.

I am but a slave. Her needs come first Grin

cozietoesie · 06/11/2014 09:04

Leave it to her. She'll sort him out. Grin

LiviaDruscillaAugusta · 06/11/2014 09:07

I would say LTB but as PP have said, your cat will be plotting dire revenge on him!

Just make sure that you show the DCat that you are a good slave, and she won't include you in her plot! Grin

Wtf?! You always sleep around the cat.

Pipbin · 06/11/2014 09:08

She is currently sleeping on my clothes preventing me from getting up.

I made my parents buy me a double bed when I was younger as I was struggling to sleep round the cat in my single bed!

Blithereens · 06/11/2014 09:11

Shock He's not very well trained, is he? My DH has to get out of bed every time I do as the cat sleeps on my side and can't be disturbed.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/11/2014 09:11

No, any cats that get in my way on the bed get kicked off. My bed, my rules.

Handsoff7 · 06/11/2014 09:13

I know this is a lighthearted thread, but was the decision to let the cat into your bedroom a joint one?

Possibly your husband is unhappy with having a cat in the bedroom and this is his way of showing it.

Much as I love my cat, he needs to stay on his radiator bed (or anywhere else he choses in the kitchen- I'm not hopelessly naive)

Thebodynowchillingsothere · 06/11/2014 09:13

The revenge of a paw is swift and complete.

Our cat scratched dhs cornea last month, quite by accident you understand, but the day before he had put a helpful slipper behind her bum to gently push her out into the rain to do her doopidoos!

Mmmm

Your DH obviously loves living dangerously. He should mind his toes sticking out from under the duvet from now on. Moving the cat from the chair is acceptable only if you place her on your knees once you are sat down.
