I used to think he was pretty lame, and an appalling actor in the HP series, but look here!!

That's pretty fly.

He's also been pretty good in the last few shows I've seen him in.

AIBU?

Stark naked was Equus.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 30/10/2014 17:47

He was exceptional on QI. Stephen Fry was all eye-boggly at him Grin

Charitybelle · 30/10/2014 17:47

I didn't watch harry potter, so was aware of him, but not overly. However, since leaving the potter films he's made some really interesting professional choices and always comes across well in interviews. I don't find him particularly attractive, but then unlike female actresses, not all young male actors have to be sexy....

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 30/10/2014 17:49

I love Daniel, spiffing chap Smile

However, have you ever seen doin his thang? Grin

Wowthishurtsalot · 30/10/2014 17:49

He's endearing in his Englishness and I think that along with being a great actor, funny, articulate and intelligent is what a lot of women are finding attractive

Charitybelle · 30/10/2014 17:50

honeez I think he does a bit of nudity in almost all of his projects. Tries to make out in interviews that its just coincidence, but I think he's probably a bit of an exhibitionist Smile

Wowthishurtsalot · 30/10/2014 17:53

Did any of you watch the drama/comedy he did where he was a Russian Dr stuck out in the wilds of russia in the early days of the Bolshevik Revolution?

Brilliant telly! Can't remember the name of it though

Catsarebastards · 30/10/2014 17:53

Oh yes i think i fell in love with him on that QI episode thinkivebeenhacked Grin.

Scarletohello · 30/10/2014 17:55

Think that would be Equs. About a guy who blinds a horse...

RunDougalRunQuiteFast · 30/10/2014 17:56

Yes, loved the Russian doctor thing (can't remember the name of it ether).

ThatDamnedBitch · 30/10/2014 17:57

Horns is a good film, the story is a bit Confused but DR's acting is brilliant. I'm starting to really like him, (he also looks my a younger version of my DH, so much so I'd swear they were related some how).

Titsalinabumsquash · 30/10/2014 18:00

I have a full on love thang going on for D-Rad, I thought he was a great Harry too (unpopular opinion I know)

I do fear if I ever met him I'd do that thing of going all start struck and talking nonsense.

I'm glad he got his alcohol daemons under control quickly before it became a real ingrained problem iykwim.

I'm glad people are beginning to warm to him. Smile

Dreadedsunnyday · 30/10/2014 18:07

Ooh I've just remembered I saw him at a Divine Comedy gig a few years ago. This proves either

  1. He has impeccable taste in music
  2. Or he really loves his mum.

Nobody was bothering him as far as I could see, everyone was desperately playing it cool but posting on Facebook that they'd just seen Harry Potter.

WhereDoAllTheCalculatorsGo · 30/10/2014 18:11

It was 'A Young Doctor's Notebook' based on the short stories by Mikhail Bulgakov. It was great.

Wowthishurtsalot · 30/10/2014 18:19

Yes that's it! Brilliant programmes!

MiscellaneousAssortment · 30/10/2014 18:20

He's great in that clip. Ahhh, it's weird but I feel proud for him somehow :)

Lottie is it well known that Daniel Radcliffe is dyspraxic? Days has just been diagnosed with DCD so knowing that Harry Potter is also affected may help him!

redexpat · 30/10/2014 19:36

Oh he always comes across as being a real sweetie! On QI, Graham Norton. Yesterday on FB I shared a pic of him - he was being interviewed about a rom com film he's in, and the interviewer was saying that it was difficult to see him as a sexual being. His reply was that the male population didnt have that trouble with sexualising Emma Watson. LOVE HIM!

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 30/10/2014 19:43

DH and I watched the rap thing on Jimmy Fallon - amazeballs

and I agree he was v good on QI, and I think Stephen probably had to be held back from licking him...

I loved the YDN, I cried when Pelageya died :(

I saw him JR at the weekend, he was the only reason I watched it as I hate JR and it was a masterclass in avoiding questions! JR asked about his GF and about him avoiding questions he didnt want to answer and DR gave a 5 minute chat about how he has learned during the HP years that you dont have to answer every question etc etc and JR nodded and asked him something else. At no point had he even mentioned his GF, it was perfect!

I was thinking about DR today actually as there was something on about Horns and I mentioned to H how good it is that he hasnt ended up as a Beiber type diva. But then none of the HP actors have so they were obviously well looked after by the HP team. I think he did go one several alcohol binges and decided he couldnt handle it, it was all or nothing so he picked nothing. Sensible choice that not many would have made at 21.

Oakmaiden · 30/10/2014 19:46

I thought he was a reasonably good Harry Potter by the end of the series too. Not so great at first - but they were all sooooo young!

reaches for Zimmer Frame

Moln · 30/10/2014 19:55

BiancaDelRio certainly knew about the pictures with the cup and the team but i didn't know about his response about the sexualisation of Emma Watson, I thought he was OK before but I really like him now

Purplepumpkins · 30/10/2014 19:56

Aww I have always liked him, love him in Harry Potter, he comes off so well in his interviews just a genuine nice chap.

KinkyandGhoulishDorito · 30/10/2014 20:09

That was amazing.
