To think this hotel policy is rather odd!

I was on a work related course today. It was a bit of a distance so I decided to book into a hotel local to the course. So yesterday I booked in 4 ish, made myself at home, get my clothes out ready for next day, treated myself to a pre-dinner bath and glass of wine, and wandered out to find tea. I got back to the hotel in the dark at half 8 to find a man in my room. Frightened the life out of me! He quickly explained he was room service doing a tidy up. Eh? I had not asked for room service, had only booked in 4 hours ago, and felt very intruded upon. Knickers both clean and dirty scattered around! Am I the only one who thinks that this was a weird time to do room service?

Love a turn down service although never had towels shaped into animals yet Envy

Only one hotel cleaned my hairbrush for me and then left a long detailed note about it which I found very creepy indeed.

Not that there is much for housekeeping to do even when they do the morning clean as I automatically put everything away and dirty clothes go in a laundry bag in the bottom of the wardrobe. I travel a lot with work so have perfected the art of travelling light and everything has its place in the room otherwise I can't find it.

I'm shocked though at some of my colleagues who leave clothes everywhere, towels on the bedroom floor and used tissues/half eaten food all over the place Shock
