Surely nobody over the age of 15 should use these words in a serious context (even in a joking context if I'm totally honest)

I have this week heard them all used at work by professional, otherwise intelligent people. Please don't tell me it's me that wants to stuff the nearest bit of junk mail into their pie hold every time they speak like this.

My biggest hate..... Tommy K for tomato sauce. My ex used to say it and I hated it.

I don't really understand hashtags either although I believe it originated as trending topics on twitter? Maybe... Maybe not.

Hashtags are like a search term, so you can get 'noticed' by people with a common interest I presume. So you might do a hashtag of #ballet so everyone who searches ballet sees your post. I might be wrong though.

If you ever use 'epic' in front of 'fail', william, then no, it is not okay.

Hashtags makes things searchable - as someone said upthread. They do have their use, and it's a big social media tool that we use to try to get things trending. Blah blah wank blah wank.

I use all of these, mainly at home with the kids/DP. I actually find Christmas a big stress so maybe it's a way of taking the piss. But xmas ones don't annoy me the way "totes" etc do.
