Rufus - yes, but she was younger, if you then gain then lose weight when you are older, you do start losing definition and plumpness from your face. Sadly, she's gained and lost weight over and over for her films, that takes its toll.

Look at those side by side photos and cover the eyes, the mouth, cheeks and jaw look thinner, tanned and a bit older, but not obviously someone else, then do the same showing the eyes, they look like they belong to different people.

Sorry, I actually thought I had posted on Chat - mrs AIBU thread police. And not trying to be nasty about her - she still looks good, just like a different person.

I think years ago she had too much Botox around her eyes so they were all squinty, I saw one interview with her and I don't know how she even saw out of them, her face was in this weird contortion and couldn't move. She looks like she's eased up on the Botox around her eyes, probably got rid of whatever fillers/cheek implants she had in her cheeks and her eyes have opened back up as a result and her cheeks more normal. She does seem to have Botox or something around her mouth, her smile looks strange. Combined with natural ageing and she looks a bit different. I think she looks really good. I rarely say someone could do with gaining a few pounds but even 5-7 pounds would make her look a bit better. Women look better in the face if they're not too thin after a certain age.

Well, she looks older because she is older now.

Mary I always assumed that her 'droopy' eyes came from her mother's Sami genes.

I had dinner on the next table to her once around 10 years ago - she was a beautiful little doll!

I took a long look and compared it to a before photo. I think she has had an eye-lift but that it all. Her cheeks have lost some of the plumpness they used to have - but that's a natural result of aging. I still think she looks good, but yes it's surprising what a difference tweaking one feature (her eyes) can make. Jennifer Grey looked like a different person after having her nose done. It's worth remembering how everything on our faces combine to make us look the way we do (if that makes sense).

I also think she looks like Sarah Jessica Parker. I would not have guessed it was Renee Zellweger.

I saw this and was quite taken aback but I guess she's in an industry that pressures people into such decisions. And the cherubic little face was going to change at some point ... I think the wide-awake eyes are the most startling feature.

However I do like her as an actress so her surgery is not going to detract from that.

Its her face and she can do what she likes with it. She was criticised before and will be criticised after. Unfortunately, women in the public spotlight cannot win.

If this really is her nowadays, what has she DONE to herself?! It's nothing to do with ageing and getting older. Everyone gets older. Looks lovely. She's drastically changed herself though. Her whole look has changed. Why?

Bollocks. Sorry, but that just doesn't wash in this scenario. Lack of facial fullness you could attribute to Monica in Friends fluctuating between series.

There's a fairly interesting rumour in Hollywood that she has a degenerative condition with her eyelids, meaning that she had to get a lift or her lids would eventually impair her vision.

Interesting thought as she's always been heavy-lidded, and I wonder if there are known cases to back this up (with regards to her heritage...Sami, was it)?

Chin implant male sense - that's definitely causing a change to her jaw line. Also her distinctive eyelids have completely changed.
