This little chap (or chapess)? I am a hardcore camper but feel differently about bugs when in a 4* hotel. Is anyone able to identify it? Baby cockroach? Blood-sucking Werewolf Beetle?
Feel a bit guilty for creating a fuss but would have wondered if he had friends in my pillows...

I do not think that is a bedbug. I have seen bedbugs when running a B+B (unfortunately an occupational hazard at even the best of establishments!). It's too big.

Chilling, have you put your address on the internet? I think yours could be a bedbug, but they seem surprisingly active! Normally you have to search for them in the seams of mattresses and they only come out in the dark.

I think that address is just the return address for the company who sent the letter.
Itch for all the creamy crawlies in hotels.

Is that the same bug in all the pics, the side view pics look like a flea but they would be jumping.

JustForThisFred, they look a bit like young cockroaches to me. Small, fast-moving, several at once and active in full view (not hiding). As the room was damp, it would fit, because they love damp places.
They don't bite though. But there is often a characteristic smell where they're found. (A sort of oily damp smell)
I hope you get your money back and compensation for having to drive all the way home again. Horrible for you.
