Bliss. I've told my family to play it at the end of my funeral. Smile

It's fantastic. Always makes me feel so happy.

BikeRunSki · 18/10/2014 19:14

Thank you. You're all right.
I have just ordered this from Amazon.
Mr Blue Sky removes me if my first love, in a lovely way. And my running music needs revamping Grin

Moghedien · 18/10/2014 19:15

It is perfect for me, full of happiness which must come to an end. Makes me think of driving around with my Dad, he'd been diagnosed with terminal cancer, but we would put that on and drive round and sing along. It makes me want to dance and cry all at once.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 18/10/2014 19:16

Thanks, Moghedien.

I've caught DS 7 under his duvet with a torch listening to it on his CD player!!

I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed!

Shockers · 18/10/2014 20:00

Me too Oh. We should have a joint party and go halves on ELO to play Grin.

SnookyPooky · 18/10/2014 20:05

Fantastic feel good song. Love it.

Moghedien · 18/10/2014 20:07

Thanks, AllMimsy.

On a happier note, anyone else love the Doctor Who episode where they come together to 'find' the Doctor, and end up forming a wee ELO tribute band?

LaundryFairy · 18/10/2014 20:09

I've put it on a playlist for DS recently and he loves it - heads off to school with it playing to get him going for the day.

LaundryFairy · 18/10/2014 20:11

Yes yes yes Moghedien. Love that episode! It is called Love and Monsters and features the equally lovely Marc Warren.

Moghedien · 18/10/2014 20:13

Oh he is really easy on the eye is Marc Warren. Scared me as Mr Teatime though.

HaroldCopter · 18/10/2014 20:13

Absolutely agree. Had it played as the last song at my wedding. YANBU!

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 18/10/2014 20:14

I absolutely love that song! So joyous and emotive. And yes, it's the perfect running song. Smile

Moghedien · 18/10/2014 20:16

Great choice, Harold!

WhereYaFrom · 18/10/2014 20:24

I love this song! moghedian it too reminds me of my Dad Thanks He lives abroad and I miss him so much! I've got it going around my head now and want to cry. Silly me.
Wasn't it used in an advert lately?

lougle · 18/10/2014 20:28

My Dad was playing ELO at Hyde Park today when we visited! He'd agree with you. I like it enough. There are other songs I feel the goosebumps to more, though.

Funky, not sure if you ever resolved your arguments, but in case you didn't, the words at the end are 'please turn me over'. Remember this was on the days of vinyl, before cds so at the end the record needed to be turned in order to play the other side.
I live ELO and was lucky enough to see them in concert a couple of times, including the Out of the Blue special charity concert at Wembley arena.

PorkPieandPickle · 18/10/2014 20:44

Love it! A proper feel good song- it always cheers me up Smile

PhaedraIsMyName · 18/10/2014 20:46

I don't like it. Most perfect song is clearly Good Vibrations or God Only Knows.

Lifesalemon · 18/10/2014 22:30

I don't like it. Almost embarrassed to admit it though as I'm so obviously outnumbered. Blush

Yes - I resolved it when I was an adult and rehashed the same query in the pub once. My cousins were convinced it was 'Mr Blue Sky' using one of those voice changer things.

MintChocAddict · 18/10/2014 22:40

I love it too. Remember ELO being played in the house when I was a kid and think it's just the best feel good song ever.

Really enjoyed Jeff Lynn with Gareth Malone's choir on I think? Children in Need last year. Was fab.

Have it on my IPad and turn it up loud. DH thinks I'm a right saddo. Grin

FrancesNiadova · 18/10/2014 22:41

Oh YANBU, ELO, The Travelling Willburys & Live & Let Die by Macca' s Wings, all brilliant!
