AIBU - Wagon Wheel related.

AIBU in thinking people that don't buy the jam filled Wagon Wheels are some kinds of self loathing masochistic freaks? Why the hell would anybody buy plain ones? Why? Sure, the shop might have sold out of the good ones, but what was the point of them even stocking them in the first place?

Plain Wagon Wheel eaters scare and disgust me in equal measure.

Would a person in a nice house near, for example, a quaint housing estate on the outskirts of Wokingham, ever give up their house, car family and all mod cons to go live under a hedge in Norfolk and be happy to be roll around in the mud and badger shit? No? But it's nearly the exact same thing as going from jam to plain Wagon Wheels.

Anybody know one of these people?

I do like wagon wheels, but always end up with a mouth full of splinters, nails and horse dung.

Am I doing something wrong? Confused

YABU. I was dedicated to WW when I was pregnant. But not with jam. Yuck

Whiskwarrior · 12/10/2014 23:49

Is it sad that I find threads like this the very best thing about AIBU?

I like both types (I think) but I'm intrigued that someone said there used to be toffee ones - how did I live to be 40 without ever coming across those?

Also, mint Viscounts are 89p for a packet of six in Tesco - not even on offer, bog standard price!

I've never heard of jam ones

They had a white filling when I ate them 30+ years ago Confused

I've got jam ones in the cupboard.

You know the WEIRDEST thing about this thread is that Tiggy has never struck me as the wagon wheel type.

He just seems more like a Club man (mint or orange, not raisin) or a Penguin eater.

Talc's definitely a Garibaldi sort.

andrew I can definitely see noshing on a wagon wheel.

LOVE garibaldis Honey.

You must be some sort of biscuit whisperer. You should do personal readings.

TiggyD · 13/10/2014 11:40

If I wanted a chocolate biscuit I would just go for a McVities Chocolate Suggestive rather than a bar type.

I suppose if you only had evil plain Wagon Wheels you could smear jam over yourself if you wanted more fun.

Because jam is all about the fun.

JustAShopGirl · 13/10/2014 11:59

I am eating a jammie wagon wheel RIGHT NOW - slowly - there was a pack of 6 for 99p in my Tesco.com order.

It is lush....

HoneyDragonMumshnet · 13/10/2014 12:13

I'm eating a salad sandwich Hmm

But I do have Tizer with it Grin

JustAShopGirl · 13/10/2014 12:37

ooooooooh - why don't I have Tizer - Tizer and a jammie wagon wheel would be a sugary heaven!!
