AIBU - Wagon Wheel related.

AIBU in thinking people that don't buy the jam filled Wagon Wheels are some kinds of self loathing masochistic freaks? Why the hell would anybody buy plain ones? Why? Sure, the shop might have sold out of the good ones, but what was the point of them even stocking them in the first place?

Plain Wagon Wheel eaters scare and disgust me in equal measure.

Would a person in a nice house near, for example, a quaint housing estate on the outskirts of Wokingham, ever give up their house, car family and all mod cons to go live under a hedge in Norfolk and be happy to be roll around in the mud and badger shit? No? But it's nearly the exact same thing as going from jam to plain Wagon Wheels.

Anybody know one of these people?

You can't put peanut butter on a tunnocks though. Wrong surface area.

LittleMisslikestobebythesea · 12/10/2014 19:59

Plain wagon wheels are just plain wrong! I got my wagon wheels on offer too :o

You can get jam tunnocks tea cakes WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME??

ithoughtofitfirst · 12/10/2014 20:00

So true honey

PiperIsOrange · 12/10/2014 20:00

Why can't you put peanut butter on top of the jam ones., American have PB and jelly sandwiches. I may be wrong but isn't jelly the American term for jam.

PiperIsOrange · 12/10/2014 20:01

I get my wagon wheels from pound land < classy>

Andrewofgg · 12/10/2014 20:01

Wagon Wheels, whether jammy or no, are the work of Beelzebub.

I dare say, socially, but Beelzebub makes good biscuits!

poolomoomon · 12/10/2014 20:03

I used to love wagon wheels as a kid, can't have them now- gelatine Sad. Liked the plain and jam ones equally! The plain ones are for jam haters like my mum, she loathes jam. She mustn't be alone else they'd have stopped selling them years ago.

TiggyD · 12/10/2014 20:03

Actually, I think I might be wrong about Tunnocks. It may have been some otter company's lesser teacake with jam in.

Apologies all round.

An otter company?

Are you sure it wasn't a beaver company?

HoneyDragonMumshnet · 12/10/2014 20:06

It just doesn't taste right with jam, peanut butter AND marshmallow.

Jam and peanut putter is fine

Marshmallow fluff and peanut butter is fine.

Peanut butter, marshmallow and jam not fine.

Piper your logic is sound, I believed in it too, but the reality is it just doesn't work.

SaucyJack · 12/10/2014 20:09

YABU. All Wagon Wheels are cheap, nasty and inedible. Fact.

douchbag · 12/10/2014 20:09

I loved the toffee ones when I was younger

mmgirish · 12/10/2014 20:38

YANBU I completely agree!

PiperIsOrange · 12/10/2014 20:42

I think it works well with smooth peanut butter, I must have weird tastebuds

TiggyD · 12/10/2014 20:42

More people agree than disagree, therefore I win at internet!

Nanasueathome · 12/10/2014 21:02

Reading this thread, I want a packet of Jammie Dodgers now

HoneyDragonMumshnet · 12/10/2014 21:05

Well done Tiggy. However you ultimately lose because you led people to believe in the existence of jammy Tunnocks Tea Cakes. You have to live with that.

You broke hearts tonight dude. Bad form.

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 12/10/2014 21:48

Concur on the Wagon Wheel issue. Must have jam in, but I don't bu because they're too small. I buy Gold biscuits instead.

thenightsky · 12/10/2014 21:55

Trio... Treeeeo! they were the best.

LittleMisslikestobebythesea · 12/10/2014 21:56

Yes honeydragon I am very disappointed, I was lead to believe there might be a lovely new jammy treat, and now my illusions have been shattered.

TiggyD · 12/10/2014 22:27

Hope this helps teacake/jam confusion.

I want one NOW Envy

Sparklypants · 12/10/2014 22:37

Eating a wagon wheel, jammy or not, is like trying to eat crap chocolate covered cardboard, yuck!

NormaStits · 12/10/2014 23:30

Agree with sparklypants, it's a choice between 'chocolate' cardboard and 'chocolate' cardboard with jam.
