Other than the Pet Unicorn I can't really see a problem? Lots of relatively cheap bits and pieces.

It's a list of things she'd like - so choose a few bits from it?!

What's the issue exactly?

StitchWitch · 03/10/2014 00:13

Bless her optimism.

Unexpected · 03/10/2014 00:15

I don't see a problem either. She has given you a very long list of wishes so you can choose several things and still not spend loads of money, while still retaining an element of surprise for her on the day. And at the end she has thrown in a few fun wishes to give you a laugh! Ds2, 13, has asked for a ferrari every year for about the last 4 years!

ChippingInLatteLover · 03/10/2014 00:15

Oh and the 'eyebrows' Grin

Not sure if she means an iPad Mini or the car??

You'd have loved my list - from being old enough to write it always started with...

A house
A car
A horse
A dog (finally got one, but not as a present, when I was 14)
A trampoline (finally got one when I was 9!!)
Then a huge list of 'stuff' as I thought about it.

I never expected the first three, but it doesn't hurt to ask Grin

thornrose · 03/10/2014 00:16

There's Christmas sorted too, surely she doesn't really expect it all?

SuperWifeANDMum · 03/10/2014 00:16

What's the issue here? she's hardly asking for the moon. The only thing you will have a problem with is obtaining a pet unicorn.

aturtlenamedmack · 03/10/2014 00:18

Eyebrows?
Think it looks exactly like the kind of list I'd have written at her age. I would only have expected to get a few bits from it though.

Billynomates71 · 03/10/2014 00:19

I'm not worried really. She is not expecting it all and I can share it gp's , plus get bits from the siblings. And Xmas is coming.

It did surprise me though, when she said she would email it.

Personally I like the 'eyebrows' wish. As a family we are fair with very fair (invisible) eyebrows, makes us look somewhat permanently surprised or startled. She hates it!!!! Smile

The mini is an actual car.

Its marvellous! Id be adding names next to it of.people who had asked for suggestions so I know what not to get.

DD turns three a few days before Christmas and has asked for a Playmobil swimming pool and a yoyo. Nice and simple!

Asos do a pink unicorn handbag if you wanted to get her it as a jokey gift.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 03/10/2014 00:22

otoh its a bit pricey!

ChippingInLatteLover · 03/10/2014 00:22

Oh well, you could buy her the wing mirrors this year Grin

ChippingInLatteLover · 03/10/2014 00:23

Thinkivebeenhacked

Is she your first then?

Grin
LifesUPandLifesDOWN · 03/10/2014 00:25

I don't get it, is that too much? Or is it because she's asked for things like nail polish, bedding & a unicorn for her birthday?

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 03/10/2014 00:25

mini

She is Chip I am mentally preparing myself for the year she askes for GHDs, a Tablet and a designer handbag. Why did I ttc in March. Idiot!

LifesUPandLifesDOWN · 03/10/2014 00:27

Sorry just seen your next post!

JustMarriedBecca · 03/10/2014 00:34

I've wanted a Mr Frostie since I was 7.

ChippingInLatteLover · 03/10/2014 00:37

Thinkivebeenhacked a word from the wise. Christmas is still WEEKS away, do not buy anything yet and be prepared for her to tell you what she really really really really really really wants Santa to bring her... at about 7 pm on Christmas Eve Grin

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 03/10/2014 00:39

Grin duly noted.

That sounds like exactly the kind of list my DD would write, right down to the unicorn and the mini (and the nail varnish/lip balm/art stuff/Dr Who/baking stuff/fairy lights/vouchers), except that she already has the Hummingbird Bakery cookbook, the Miranda box set, Frozen and Sherlock (well that one's mine actually - it's got Benedict Cumberbatch in it, after all).

She turns 12 next month and I haven't had her actual list yet - maybe I should email your DD's list to her and see if she has anything else to add?

exexpat · 03/10/2014 00:43

Oh, and DD has eyebrows, but I don't, at least not visible ones - maybe I should add them to my Christmas list?

MrsTerryPratchett · 03/10/2014 02:32

You can get your eyebrows dyed. Boris Becker eyelashes here.

I want a bloody unicorn. Where's mine?

Whippet81 · 03/10/2014 07:50

If she's not expecting it all then I'd say that's a fabulous list. I don't think she's being grabby at all as she has put 'colouring pencils' and 'baby lips lip balm' I mean that's about £2 - at least when everyone calls and says 'what can I get DD for her birthday' you can tell them exactly what to get.

If you find her a unicorn can you let us know where from please.

Leela5 · 03/10/2014 07:52

I asked for a pony every Christmas and birthday from 3 years old. I finally got one when I turned 33.
