Jesus OP do you buy her anything outside of her birthday?!! Grin

formerbabe · 03/10/2014 07:55

Great list! I also want a lot of the stuff on it!

There's a lot of things on it but nothing particularly outrageous or expensive.

Does she not have a hairbrush already though?!

frignorant · 03/10/2014 08:09

That list is remarkably like the one written by dd2 who is 14 in a couple of weeks. Her list only has 18 items. I've just read the list to her and she can't believe the similarities Smile in fact, I might have just given her more ideas.

I'll be buying a few items and then doing a rollover for Christmas.

skylark2 · 03/10/2014 08:15

I'm not seeing the issue with it. She's 14 - surely she has figured out by now that she isn't going to get everything she asks for? I think my kids had that down by 5 (but then their lists tended to the pet unicorn type of items).

marialuisa · 03/10/2014 08:16

My DD is the same age, a unicorn has featured on her list since she was about 4. It's quite good fun to find her something unicorn themed; last year I found a tiny 3D unicorn rubber which was a massive hit and posted all over instagram.

GoodboyBindleFeatherstone · 03/10/2014 08:24

Amazon.com do a 59" ride on cuddly Unicorn if you're feeling rich.

I'm putting it on my Xmas/Birthday list.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 03/10/2014 08:27

Unicorn Onesie

ElephantsNeverForgive · 03/10/2014 08:36

Asos and other places have lots of unicorn T shirts, quotes, cartoons and arty. Your certain to find one she'd like.

The list is a perfect combination of My twos. Hair and make up for DD2(13) books and DVDs for both of them, sketch books and the mini for DD1(16, 17 just after Christmas - HELP!!!)

exexpat · 03/10/2014 08:38

DD got a unicorn-themed package for Christmas - that unicorn onesie thinkivebeenhacked linked to, earrings, a t-shirt, one of these and some other bits and pieces. I think it was her favourite present. She'd still love a real unicorn, though.

Get her some of these!

The mini (bonus points for being pink)

(I actually love this :D)

This is a great list, my daughter is 14 nearly 15 her list wasn't very helpful, she had a few things on it, but even buying everything didn't come to our budget so we have had to improvise and hope we have done okay (which we will, she isn't ungrateful)

I hope she has a lovely birthday

Theas18 · 03/10/2014 10:14

I'm stealing that list for my 15yr old at Xmas . It's bril!

brainwashed · 03/10/2014 11:29

What a great list! My ds is 14 soon...his wish list has headphones and endless acdc CDs on it. I would have liked a bit more variety...

WaroftheRoses · 03/10/2014 11:33

14 yr olds have birthday lists?! My poor kids must be hard done by-they get what they are given. Confused

Bigoldsupermoon · 03/10/2014 12:31

Ahh, I think this is a lovely list - she's varied the prices, she's had a bit of a joke with you and she's clearly not expecting it all. I think YABU Wink

cherrybombxo · 03/10/2014 12:42

Would you pay for her to have her eyebrows tinted? It's not that expensive and a good beautician would be very careful, doing patch tests etc to avoid allergic reactions. I would say that 14 is an okay age for something like that, but then my mum let me run riot with hair dye at that age Grin

magicalmrmistofelees · 03/10/2014 12:47

WaroftheRoses would you rather not spend your money on something you know they actually want?

I think it's a fab list OP!

WaroftheRoses · 03/10/2014 13:05

We talk, I know my kids likes and dislikes and what they are currently in to. Lists by young kids at Christmas for Santa I can understand but lists for birthdays once they are over 10 just ruins the whole act of gift giving IMO.

Marylou2 · 03/10/2014 13:10

What a lovely list.I'm 30 years older than your DD and amazed that there's almost nothing on the list that I don't want too.

waithorse · 03/10/2014 13:22

I want lot's from that list. Grin

HazleNutt · 03/10/2014 13:28

Get her a voucher for eyebrow dye and shaping - mine are blonde as well.

Sparklypants · 03/10/2014 13:34

Good list Smile

whois · 03/10/2014 13:46

I like the list. Lots of thing of varying prices, and she's had some fun with it and given you the opportunity to get her some things she would really like.

I love a good gift list - I'd much rather buy someone something they want. And that people got me something I wanted!
