Crazy. Will you genuinely wear all those colours? Surely you'd only wear a few of them. The rest will be dusty and gunky before you get around to using them unless you're a make up artist. Plus if they're in a box like that you can't reapply throughput the day.

Buy the colours you like separately.

Generally high end make up is more pigmented and use higher quality ingredients. I can't use drug store stuff on my face, it just melts off. So I stick with Estee Lauder.

londonrach · 03/10/2014 09:56

Am sticking with my number 7 one if no difference

CarmineRose1978 · 03/10/2014 09:57

The fact that it's a stock photo rather than an image of an actual make-up palette would put me off, tbh. You see a lot of that with fake handbags and Tiffany jewellery on eBay.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/10/2014 10:03

Wrt pigment,I don't think that's true these days, it did used to be the case though and I'd be the first at the make up counters for expensive brands.

I was so disappointed with my BB eye pencil,I refuse to buy anything from them now. It's shit compared to Wilko's long lasting one for a quid!

I've renamed Benefit Beneshit as again I'm disappointed with their products. Badgal mascara went in the bin after the first use, utter crap and ended up with panda eyes after ten mins.

I've recently found fantastic dupes for expensive brands by reading beauty blogs.

MaidOfStars · 03/10/2014 11:48

Cheap!!!!! Maid how much is a real one and who is bobbi brown or is it just a make like number 7?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't spend that much on makeup for myself (well, I buy nice items, but I don't need that huge range, if you see what I mean?).

I have bought BB stuff for gifts though, and if a mini-palette of two eyeshadows and a lip colour can cost £60, it just struck me as being quite cheap for what you get, if genuine.

IrianofWay · 03/10/2014 11:49

How much????? Shock

Was that helpful?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/10/2014 15:04

I imagine as it comes from the states it's a lot cheaper, we pay roughly a third more or double for our products in the UK. I remember being like a kid in a sweetie shop when buying make up in the statesGrin

Boots have some lovely lipsticks. I'd look there.

DownByTheRiverside · 03/10/2014 17:19

Really?
£160 for lipstick?
