I can't resist eyeshadow palettes, even though I usually wear out only 2 colours. I'd go for Baw's site Smile

HoltBegins · 02/10/2014 18:06

£160 fucking quid for lipsticks!!! Shock You're barking.

misstiredbuthappy · 02/10/2014 18:09

Bloody hell thats two weeks rent for me ! Shock

cartsmar · 02/10/2014 18:15

If you can afford it then why not spend what you want on things you like

BUT I would be wary it's a fake

Are you a make up artist? If not Surely you can only put it on once in the morning though and then leave it at home? Because you won't carry it round all day... Right?

ArabellaTarantella · 02/10/2014 18:24

That's nearly 2 weeks' pension! And a month's food!

Username12345 · 02/10/2014 18:27

Don't buy it from Ebay. Don't take the chance of buying a fake. I don't think the risk is worth it.

OfaFrenchMind · 02/10/2014 18:28

That would be a nice treat. But do not buy it from eBay, it's too likely to be a fake.

HawthornLantern · 02/10/2014 18:31

Ah...Bobbi Brown...I wear very little makeup myself and not all that often either, but I have found that her cosmetics go on very easily indeed and the very little make up that I now own is all from her. If you love colours and can enjoy using them and can afford to treat yourself - then why not - I can understand the temptation. Have fun with them. Smile

BOFster · 02/10/2014 18:33

You can spend what you like, obviously, but that does sound ridiculous, particularly as when you buy any colour palette you tend to only use a tiny proportion of the selection available, unless you are a professional MUA. Even then, I bet most MUAs stick to a trusted few.

Save your money and buy what you know you like, and send away for samples if you fancy trying anything unfamiliar.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 02/10/2014 18:40

eBay is full of fake makeup and fly by night sellers who shut down before you can realise the stuff is fake.

Jacksonville14 · 02/10/2014 18:44

I wouldn't buy it as they are not in the uk - import taxes and returning a fake to a seller out of the country is nothing but hassle and expense.

Spindarella · 02/10/2014 20:25

Holy Shite! I had no idea BobbiBrown stuff cost so much! A friend gave me loads of stuff a couple of years back - I'd have treated it a little more reverentially had I known. It was lovely though.

No I wouldn't buy it from ebay. I've used Want a The Look before and it was good - do they have it there?

I don't actually wear much name up, but when I do, I love feeling decadent even though I know it's a con husband bought me some beautiful palettes for Christmas - they've hardly been used but I absolutely love them.

southeastastra · 02/10/2014 20:41

i wouldn't buy either, there is alot of knock off stuff on there, there are some Nars collections on there that are so fake yet people fall for them.

19lottie82 · 02/10/2014 23:47

If it is fake you will be refunded by ebay, if you pay by paypal.

Unexpected · 03/10/2014 00:18

Unless you are wearing lots of different lipsticks every day (and reapplying several times a day) surely lots of the colours will remain unused and many will dry out before you get to use them completely anyway?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/10/2014 08:18

19 is right, they will refund. Read the listing carefully and read feed back.

higgle · 03/10/2014 08:26

Don't. I'm sure it will be lovely but after a few weeks you will have used up your faviourite colours and then be stuck with a big box full of the less suitable ones. Treat yourself to 4 or 5 you really like instead.

Jacksonville14 · 03/10/2014 08:52

they will refund after you prove a tracked return - and how much could that cost?

MaidOfStars · 03/10/2014 08:54

I don't have any opinion on whether anyone should or shouldn't spend money on an extensive lip palette. However, my gut feeling is that it's far too cheap for what you get if it's genuine BB.

londonrach · 03/10/2014 08:56

Did they put an extra 0 on the price. Shocked. Op if you can afford this id buy from a proper place rather than ebay. (Looks at one lipstick i have from number 7)

Redglitter · 03/10/2014 08:57

their feedback would put me off
1 in the past month 31 in the past year.

I'd expect someone selling multiple items like that to have loads more

londonrach · 03/10/2014 08:59

Cheap!!!!! Maid how much is a real one and who is bobbi brown or is it just a make like number 7?

CitronVert · 03/10/2014 09:03

Genuine question, what difference would I notice between an expensive lippy like Bobby Brown and one from, say, number 7? I can understand stuff like foundation etc. as you're slathering it all over your skin (I've got some Bobby brown face stuff) but surely lippy is lippy?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/10/2014 09:49

Citron-none these days as high street brands have upped their game so much. You get a bigger range of colours but that's it.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/10/2014 09:50

And if you do buy on Ebay, only buy from a power seller, they don't want to risk selling fakes.
