Who is being unreasonable here, Me or DH?

We have not had a cigarette for 1 week (30 years of smoking).

My DH has a vapour cigarette which really helps him and I have gone cold turkey as the patches make me feel sick and the vapour makes me cough!

We have never smoked in our home, always outside no matter what the weather is like.

DH has started to use his vapour cigarette inside our home, I hate when he uses it as it reminds me of smoking and causes me to think about it when I wouldn't usually as we have never smoked inside the home.

It is permanently attached to him like a child with a dummy! I've asked him if you could please use it outside as it makes me think about smoking and he just says 'do you want me to give up or not?' and cuts off the conversation.

I really need to give up, health issues are creating up on me but seeing him with his vapour cigarette inside our home is really making me struggle!

Who is being unreasonable?

I'm very interested to know what you all think as he thinks that I am being very unreasonable!

You know, someone sent me a lovely Christmas gift via that scheme MN runs and I am really sorry that I never popped in to thank anybody. I was separating from my husband then and just wasn't coping with everything very well. But thank you for saying that. xx

Outside. It's really rude. Somebody at my work is on the verge of being sacked for doing this in clients offices and it just baffles me why people think it's okay.

I think all the negativity about ecigarettes is simply about people not liking something new and because they for some reason think it's not 'proper' giving up so why do it at all. It's a weird macho thing where people think if you use a smoking aid you're weak.

I think there's a time and a place aermingers and a client meeting probably isn't it (unless you have already established that they are also vapers and then you can bond over coils and ohms and shit). It's a new thing and needs time to develop its own etiquette which should NOT be based on smoking etiquette or laws.

Can you explain why you think it's not OK for this man to vape in his own home though?

Another who can only praise vaping! my OH and i were both 20 a day, 20 years smokers and we have been off the cigs since June!
I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for the help of the ladies over in the stop smoking area :)

OP, i think you need to cut him a bit of slack. Tell him to do it in a specific room and away from you.

I think a lot of people need to educate themselves about vaping. It isn't smoking. Doesn't work the same way and doesn't deliver the same amount of nicotine per puff. Doesn't burn tobacco and doesn't deliver cancer causing chemicals into your body

I couldn't care less if people think they look ridiculous. Would i look better with a fag?

Fabulassie I also managed to stop smoking thanks to your original threat. One whole year today, I honestly can't believe it. I bloody love you! I nominated you too for the xmas thing and you certainly deserved it. The evangelical threads have helped so many of us quit fags. Thank you x
