I greet my Ocado driver every Saturday morning (8-9 am slot) in my bathrobe. I do make sure it's tied securely though!

WorkingBling · 23/09/2014 21:57

Wear pajamas. It's fine. But do make sure you are presentable. Out a robe on as well or a large jumper if necessary. Driver doesn't need to see random bits of cleavage or similar! Grin

formerbabe · 23/09/2014 21:57

I'd stay in PJs or a dressing gown...it's late...sod getting dressed again!

AlpacaYourThings · 23/09/2014 21:58

Is there another way to be dressed at home?! I'm always in my pyjamas at home! Blush

ColdTeaAgain · 23/09/2014 21:58

I think 10-11pm is a perfectly reasonable time to be in pj's, am sure the drivers are used to people being in pj's at all times of the day anyway so I very much doubt they'd bat an eyelid. Depends on what your nightwear is though!

WorraLiberty · 23/09/2014 21:59

WTF? All late delivery drivers (and early ones) will be used to seeing people in nightwear.

You're taking in a delivery, not hosting a dinner party Grin

Fabulassie · 23/09/2014 21:59

If you're decently covered, why not?

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 23/09/2014 21:59

I got an Asda delivery once at 39 weeks pg amd dressed in my dressing gown. I was huuuge. Driver said "oh sorry did I wake you? You been on nightshift?"

Grrrr....no im just too uncomfortable for jeans now. And he didnt carry anything in just dumped it all on the doorstep.

sosotiredagain123 · 23/09/2014 21:59

We'll as people go to tesco in their pjs I think you are suitably dressed

WorraLiberty · 23/09/2014 21:59

Come to think of it

Most Tesco shop workers will be used to seeing people wearing onesies Grin

ILovePud · 23/09/2014 22:00

Heck where I used to live PJ's were common attire for GOING to Tesco and for doing the school run.

LadyLuck10 · 23/09/2014 22:01

Yanbu, at this time of night It would be weird if you were all dressed up.

sticklebrickstickle · 23/09/2014 22:02

Depending on the style of PJs I might but on a dressing gown, cardigan or jumper but really I think it's fine. After 10pm it's understandable to be in your PJs - I've answered the door to Tesco delivery drivers and to the postman in my PJs in the middle of the day or afternoon before which is perhaps less acceptable but they didn't react. I imagine they've all seen worse...

smokeandglitter · 23/09/2014 22:02

I have before, am usually in day clothes but it's no problem Smile

KatieKaye · 23/09/2014 22:03

PJs in your own home? Absolutely fine. I wouldn't think twice about it.
But then my jammies are like t-shirt and loose cotton trousers - perfectly respectable. I might not be so keen if I was in baby dolls!

DrSeuss · 23/09/2014 22:06

I greeted the postie with nightwear and both hands covered in crumble mix the other day if that helps. Everything was covered and he didn't seem a all bothered, just offered to put my parcel in the hall to avoid it being covered in flour!

Jollyphonics · 23/09/2014 22:09

I put my pyjamas on at 7pm when the kids go to bed. Anyone knocking on my door after that sees my pyjamas, including delivery drivers. I get dressed if friends are visiting that evening, but otherwise it's pyjamas.

slithytove · 23/09/2014 22:14

I get my asda delivery usually between 12-4, I am always without fail in pjs, and usually I've just woken up as well.

Who cares, I've answered the door with a boob out while bf as well.

Futurebird · 23/09/2014 22:15

I answered the door to a delivery man in pjs with one boob out when DC was about a week old. Didn't notice until about an hour later when I went to the loo and looked down.

I die.

DanyStormborn · 23/09/2014 22:15

Just pop a dressing gown/bath robe and some slipper over the top and your presentable - no problem. I think postmen/delivery drivers/pizza deliverers see is a lot.

morethanpotatoprints · 23/09/2014 22:16

My ds delivers to a couple of the corrie cast, they are usually in pj's.
if it's good enough for them......

Redglitter · 23/09/2014 22:18

I practically live in my pjs when I'm at home.

Asda delivery man, postie, couriers, fruit man, takeaway delivery man have all seen me in my jammies. so far none have collapsed in shock and no one's refused to come back again. Smile

awsomer · 23/09/2014 22:20

Of course it's fine!

Oak would you honestly change? Why? Do you have exceptionally revealling PJs?

KingJoffreysBloodshotEye · 23/09/2014 22:21

I answered the door to a Tesco man at 1pm today in my PJs.

Had no where to be all day and they're practical for housework. Did have brushed hair, bra, etc though.
