To enjoy farting

I sometimes get trapped wind and there is nothing like a loud, long fart.

I rarely hold them in. But in company I try to ease them out gently so that they aren't noisy, at home I just let rip.

So AIBU??

I like to save a little thrust for the last bit - takes some self control and concentration, and turns the fart into a performance

^ it must indeed take self control and concentration to prevent it turning into a shart! Grin

Love to be able to do this.

recall · 22/09/2014 22:41

phantomnamechanger yes always a small risk with very high stakes !

Fishstix · 22/09/2014 22:53

As my eye caught your thread title I was letting a long silent one rip. I love to fart. My favourites are the first thing in the morning ones. Huge, alarmingly loud for anyone in the vicinity and make you feel a stone lighter. Long live flatulence.

geezerhere · 22/09/2014 22:56

I love farting, burping, cracking my knuckles and wanking. I would not do any on a train though....

Fishstix · 22/09/2014 22:57

My DH's pretends he hates them, but I catch him giggling when I do an especially good one and I think he is both secretly proud and slightly jealous of my windy prowess.

MrsBasterd · 22/09/2014 23:36

don't say that, there will be a whole new clique of MNers sharing their fart videos along with the zit popping ones!

Well I have one of my farts on cassette tape circa 1994 so if this starts a trend I claim it. Grin

Farting in a swimsuit under water so the bubble makes its way up your back before breaking the surface feels all tickly!

TheIronGnome · 23/09/2014 14:23

I can't burp but... I far like a trooper!

I luffs it

cherrybombxo · 23/09/2014 14:33

I've never farted in front of DP (I'm sure I lack the self-control while sleeping but I feel better knowing that I've never knowingly let one go in front of him! Grin) but he treats me to a concerto of farts at regular intervals. I once asked why he feels the need to force them out so they sound like gunfire and he simply said "it feels good". Lovely.

SqueegeeBeckenheim · 23/09/2014 16:33

Yes, I love a good fart, the noisy ones that seem to trumpet on are always so satisfying. However, I do not enjoy the ones that sometimes travel up the front, that's a weird feeling! Then you have to do that odd little shake wiggle to get rid of it.

BeggingYourPardon · 23/09/2014 16:39

Both me and the DH found farts unbelievable hilarious.

My aunts and uncles don't fart and I reckon it's cos they don't have bumholes.

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 23/09/2014 16:58

I'm crying with laughter reading this.

steff13 · 23/09/2014 17:05

I love a good sneeze. I have terrible allergies and few things feel better than a good loud sneeze.

Topseyt · 23/09/2014 17:30

Nowt wrong with a good, satisfying fart.

Farts were a non-issue in my family when growing up. There was obviously a time and a place, and I learned that. Amongst ourselves though, we often let rip. It is comforting.

Not the same in my husband's family, although he has come under my bad influence and now sometimes doesn't mind letting rip at times. In his family though, you virtually had to pretend you didn't have an arse.

HangingBasketCase · 23/09/2014 17:34

There's nothing like doing a bloody good fart in bed and sticking your head under the covers. One of life's pleasures!

LapsedTwentysomething · 23/09/2014 18:03

Pahaha! One of life's pleasures for me is letting off a loud one in the car after a long day at work.

And why the po-faced posters implying that OP is a teenage troll? Farting is one of life's pleasures no matter how old you are.

WitchWay · 23/09/2014 18:29

Loud farts are great! Mine are much better than DH's Grin

usualsuspect333 · 23/09/2014 18:33

Yuk at this thread.

Still it will probably end up in classics.

Shockers · 23/09/2014 18:42

It's made me chuckle.

I did a very long and loud one in my kitchen the other day, only to realise that the adult son of the couple was planting a shrub in their garden, but just feet from my wide open patio door.

I scolded the dog... Blush

Shockers · 23/09/2014 18:42

The couple next door!

Rissolesfortea · 23/09/2014 18:44

Mine sound like I'm playing a musical instrument, Its the only talent I have Grin

HappyYoni · 23/09/2014 18:49

I'm right there with you sista.

partialderivative · 23/09/2014 18:58

Mine sound like I'm playing a musical instrument, Its the only talent I have

My dad used to be able to fart a scale, he would then declare 'Ooh! It's going to be a musical evening tonight'

My how we laughed, every single time.
