I am bracing myself for a barrage of hate...
...but, will any one else be glad when it's over?!

And no, I'm not from Scotland.

That is exactly what you are missing. Photos of coffee, oftem photos of people's shoes, photos of what people are eating. It's thrilling stuff.

Tbh I have absolutely no idea, About any of it. (English here)

I don't know who pays for who, all I know is it's gonna be a horrible time for half the people of scotland no matter the vote.

They may well get there independence but they may always be divided by today's dedision

browneyedgirl86 · 18/09/2014 12:01

Live in Scotland and will be voting and yes I agree. I'm sick and tired of it. I haven't dared to peek at my Facebook because I cannot be arsed with all the nationalist shite. It's caused division and so much bad feeling and I will be happy when it's done and dusted.

ffsindyref · 18/09/2014 12:01

And yes, I do like to poke the Scottish bears Corabell.

YANBU at all OP.

I'm very anxious about the outcome, but have no vote, so would rather that it hadn't take up 90% of the news last night and this morning.

I'm trying to distract myself until the results are in.

PrettyPictures92 · 18/09/2014 12:07

No hate from me, can't wait til the bloody thing is over and I'm in scotland. It's torn this wee community apart, can't see things ever being the same no matter what the outcome Sad

noddyholder · 18/09/2014 12:09

I have found it fascinating and historic. So exciting to see people engage once more with politics and the thought of a spread of this desire for decentralisation is so exciting and inevitable imho Bring it on!

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 18/09/2014 12:10

Brace yourself then, because no matter which way the vote goes, it's going to dominate the headlines for a long time. Neither result is going to be 'easy' and there will be a lot to negotiate.

Get used to it and while you're about it, get your head out of your own arse.

Get informed.
Get interested.
Get involved.

No matter where you live, this will affect YOU!

(British, living in England)

Fanjo I think that was a bit harsh. A lot of us on that thread are on the Indy threads and other threads and are worried sick, it's a bit of light relief for 5 minutes started by one of the worlds loveliest people.

ffsindyref · 18/09/2014 12:10

To be honest, I really hadn't thought about the fact that Scotland is so divided now. PrettyPictures, how has it torn your community apart?

Neiljames can I correct you about the old chestnut regarding England subsidising Scotland? Yes Scotland do receive £1200 ish more money per head of population than England but this is the bit that is conveniently not mentioned generally....that the Scottish people put in more than enough to cover what is going back!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 18/09/2014 12:12

Not harsh really latte. I hadnt seen thread in question but was replying to a single post.

noddyholder · 18/09/2014 12:12

This is only the tip of a very huge iceberg of discontent with the status quo in the UK full stop. Something has to change and this is the catalyst.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 18/09/2014 12:13

From someone who said it was dull and was only concerned with their tea and cake.

ilovepowerhoop · 18/09/2014 12:13

I have people on my facebook being accused of being bad parents/letting everyone down because they have chosen a No vote. There is no need for it and I avoid reading posts from certain people of my feed as it makes me feel ragey

Tinkerball · 18/09/2014 12:13

Fanjo sigh you are spot on. Lots if things in the news don't affect me but it's news. The attitude of some here kind of represents Westminster attitude to Scotland in the first place that drove the need for the referendum. And do it will continue ....free prescriptions, English subsidies blah blah.

FeelTheNoise · 18/09/2014 12:15

The cynic in me suspects that there are a few london based toffs just waiting to benefit from the huge divide they knew this would cause Hmm

neiljames77 · 18/09/2014 12:16

Ok. I stand corrected. Smile

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 18/09/2014 12:17

Singing aye aye I've just voted aye!

Longdistance · 18/09/2014 12:17

Watch CBEEBIES instead Grin

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 18/09/2014 12:19

Ask yourself if we were such a drain why is Cameron begging us not to go?

Decades of subjugation have left us feart of the day we've never seen.

Let's do it! Saor alba!

LarrytheCucumber · 18/09/2014 12:20

If Scotland go, will it mean the weather forecasts are shorter, or will the weather for the rest of us just expand to fill the time allotted to it?

Trapper · 18/09/2014 12:23

This is the single most important event in UK politics for a generation and is likely to have a turnout of over 90%.
I am scared of what happens next - whichever way the vote goes. I am anything but bored.
Whatever the outcome - this is not the end, this is a new beginning and will be taught in history for decades to come.
I'm English/living in London/Hoping the Union stays together.

LovleyRitaMeterMaid · 18/09/2014 12:23

These serious issues Larry. I expect that they will just give a slightly more detailed forecast for rUK.
