Over the last day and a half I've felt increasingly awful. My joints ache and it hurts when I breathe deeply or when I sneeze or cough. Even a little jolt hurts. It's in my back and left shoulder....could it be pleurisy? What are the signs?

I will see GP tomrorrow if not bettee.

I feel worse too :( bastard pleurisy.

Temp spikes every time pain killers are nearly due. Pain in lungs is horrid.

Made up sofa bed in front room and been here for 24 hours.

Oh and I think I stink cos haven't managed a shower and am all sweaty.

MrsWinnibago · 19/09/2014 19:13

Oh Giraffes Flowers I stink too! We will stink together!

I've spoken to GP who is happy that me and the DDs have had a viral respiratory infection but they've gotten beeter first and he's told me to buy some Night and some Day Nurse and continue with them and paracetomol.

I hope you are ok,,,,,my temp is bad but I don't think I'm as bad as you sound.

Thanks to you all and Wine when you feel better.

Sounds horrible.

MrsWinnibago · 19/09/2014 19:21

Thanks! I am feeling a bit better as have sent DH to get Night Nurse and chocolate. That's pretty normal me behaviour.

Oh no, it drags on for so long.
I think I put the scud on myself, couldn't catch a breath all day and my lung is getting very painful.
This will be my 3rd time this year Hmm

Sounds grim. Like another poster I have ignored chest infections and have been left with permanently weak chest.

Pneumonia for me was back pain, cough, fever, sputum, sweet taste in mouth, high sensation, floating angel like, going into delirium and inability to breathe.

Pleurisy was back and right side Sharp pain, fever, cough but less productive and less feeling of being high and floating. Complete misery instead. Could breathe but too painful to want to do so.

giraffescantboogie · 19/09/2014 20:29

Oh good we can stink together! Grin I just had a quick wash at the sink, changed PJs and stuck a wash on. That has exhausted me.

Temp is doing my head in, it doesn't seem to be shifting, just controlled a bit by pain killers. Makes me feel bonkers and shivery.

Have you had a chest xray? Sorry if missed that.
