To admit I am addicted to Geordie Shore?

I've always thought it was utter rubbish and have never watched it until very recently when dd1 wanted to and I said I'd have to check it out first. There's no way she is watching it, it glamorises drinking and promiscuous sex.

I am now pretty much addicted and have found myself watching all 8 seasons either on tv or online in secret!

I'm not really sure why I like it as I don't like drinking or dancing which is what they spend most of their time doing when they're not having sex. There's just something about it! It's really addictive and a bit of light relief!

I can't even say I am reliving my youth as I didn't go and get drunk every night then either! And no I definitely don't want to be them, I would not enjoy getting drunk every night and kissing random blokes!

It's a bit of a secret pleasure.

The 9th season starts in October and I can't wait!

I think it is a hideous programme, i have channel hopped a couple of times and both times people were having sex in the dark and wetting the bed!!

The Vicky and Ricci thing actually made for some really uncomfortable viewing.

He was very, very abusive and it was frightening how the others (especially the boys) blamed her as much, if not more.

He's a dangerous creature.

It's great to see her back to herself.

She's the only one with even a modicum of class!

On another note, I'm said Jay went too. I love how they bring him back every so often to sort everyone out then he's gone again like a big Geordie Avenger!

James needs to leave. He's pointless and irritating.

He refuses to leave because his ego won't let him but I just can't understand why they keep bringing him back.

Does anyone except White Kate even like him? And I'm not sure she even does!

I think James is a calming influence, he is quite solid and dependable and probably diffuses things from getting too out of hand. I quite like him.

Charlotte is my favourite. She's so funny. Glad to hear she's not with Mitch anymore. When was the series that has just been on actually filmed?

I really didn't like marnie the first series she was in, but have warmed to her this season. I wonder how much she has changed how she has acted, and how much of it is just down to the way they've chosen to edit her...

I was so glad when Vicky and Ricci split! He bought out the worst in her and all we saw, mainly, was her violent side when she was with him, ie, in Cancun. I was so chuffed when she went pulling crazy in Australia - I worried she would be reserved to 'respect' him

Anyway, love it! Loved the earlier seasons more and Rebecca is looking so much better now! She has an adorable son.

Waltermitty I think he's pretty pointless since he got with Kate, the lady in white. He does nothing apart from talk about the gym and sway in clubs, drink in hand. Pre-Kate, I didn't mind him - it was always nice to watch him try and fail to pull episode after episode, until he met the lady in the blue dress who he couldn't shake off

I went off James as he seemed to deem Holly as being beneath him.

And he always does the same dancing.

I've just put on season 1 again, as this thread got me in the mood, and I can't quite believe how horrible they all were to Holly- she's been called some right names, and it's only on the first episode.

Yes they were mean to Holly at first. They were also mean to Becca.

No I mean this season when he said he'd never fancied anyone in the house and last season when he and White Kate were slagging her off and treating her so badly!

I love Charlotte , Vicky is hilarious and I like sassy Holly can't stand Scott , James is now pointless but Gary is fun to watch .

I may have to read Vicky's book - thank goodness for kindle
