To wonder if there is any poster on MN that lives a polygamy relationship.

I am getting addicted to watching sister wives also known as my 4 wives.

MN has thousands of users, there has to be 1.

I don't know how Kody does it, 4 wives and a lot of kids

Yes, the LDS people I know are fairly "normal" but the FLDS is batshit crazy and I don't say that lightly. Warren Jeffs and his ilk are monsters.

Polyamory is one thing, polygamy is another. Neither is for me!

watchseries, piper.

I think my DH having another wife would be fantastic. As long as she was the one doing the housework and providing the sex. Leaving me more time on mumsnet and my kindle.

I often say that to dh!

I loved Big Love! Hardly anyone I know has seen it. I might have to rewatch it.

TheLovelyBoots · 08/09/2014 08:47

Big Love is amazing. They have some amazing show-downs within the church hierarchy.

Thebodyloveschocolateandwine · 08/09/2014 08:51

Couldn't be arsed.

I would also hate to live with other womem apart from my dds.

I grew out of girly sleepovers and chats years ago. That's shy I got married.

They all seem very immature to me.

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 08/09/2014 09:04

I love Big Love too.

It's very clever in that the main characters seem like a surprisingly normal family but in the background (with their relatives) you have forced marriage, child brides, lack of education, abuse, extreme poverty etc. and then there are things that make you (and them) wonder if actually the main family is not that different.

Sailor, sorry, I meant extra men.

It seems that they're killed off in war or something.

JanaOfTheJungle · 08/09/2014 10:32

I loved Big Love. Watched it before kids and am keen to rewatch as there will be so much more in it for me now.

AnnaLegovah · 08/09/2014 18:41

Think we might need a Big Love thread on the telly addicts page when Piper starts watching it Grin

IPityThePontipines · 09/09/2014 17:34

I think I got up to series 3 of Big Love and then wasn't able to get my hands on the last two series. Even though I've cheated and looked up what happened on Wiki, I still wouldn't mind catching up with them.

I don't know anyone in real life who is in a polygamous marriage, but I'm Muslim, so it's not unheard of. From what I've seen of it online, it seems to cause no end of trouble and drama. However, I've heard about some people who are divorced and would prefer a part-time husband who actually seek it out.
